âThe best part of the trip was the cable car to the hotel, said our 3- and 5-year old boys :) So silent up there at the hotel, perfect views, friendly staff, nice room, balcony with lake/mountain views..and a bonus was the little kittens and hens :) I wish we had stayed longer than just 2 nights! Only negative thing was the food in the restaurant, too expensive for that quality.â
âWe stayed three nights at Il Porticciolo and found it very charming and cosy. Location right on the lake-front is fabulous and you can admire the scenery from your own balcony or the beautiful breakfast/dinner terrace. âThis hotel is located across the street from the ferry terminal (small one). Very convenient to catch a ferry to the beautiful islands and other locations like Stresa. Breakfast was very good and included in the price - freshly squeezed orange juice was a nice surprise. Old town is just behind the hotel with restaurants and little shops. If travelling by car, there is a garage, which can be used about 200 m from the hotel - not for large cars though. Other parking places are across the street...
âI was in Verbania for three days with my daughter during her rhythmic gymnastics competition.
This was a quiet and very well functioning place to stay while our short visit and stresful schedule with a long 14h day at the sports hall.
The staff was extremely kind and kept good contact with us. The room was spacious and over all very clean. Only the bathroom cabinet was dusty but other than that everything was spotless and a huge plus for very well funtioning AC. The bathroom was also spacious...

âStylish classic style hotel. Polite and good service by a older gentleman in the lobby. We had a room from the upper floor with a view over the lake. The room was perfect, comfortable bed, large bathroom and a small balcony. The view over the lake is spectacular. Parking is a bit difficult, the hotel does not have it's own parking spaces. A few parking garages nearby, but the ramps were so steep our car could not get up. â

The staff were very attentive and kind.

Yritimme vaihtaa huonetta siinÀ onnistumatta, koska hotelli oli tÀysi isohkosta tapahtumasta johtuen.
Mm seuraavat asiat haittasivat asumista: ajoittainen lÀmpimÀn suihkuveden sekÀ lÀmmityksen puuttuminen,
(ulkolĂ€mpötila alhaisimmillaan vain +2C, marraskuu), kylpyhuoneen ovi lintallaan - ei mennyt kiinni, ei minkÀÀnlaista ilmanvaihtoa ja poikkeuksellisen huono ÀÀnieristys.â
âApartment was huge but felt the space could have been configured a bit better e.g. with a kitchenette or more comfy living area. View was amazing (just be aware that the picture shown is when the trees were very young/ had no leaves and they now cover the lake view). Breakfast was nice. Cleaning was good but would have liked the bed linen to be changed - we stayed for 5 nights and it was not changed.â
