”Property as advertised. Right on River. Beach 4 blocks away. Loads of great restaurants, funky dive bars. ”

”Water’s Edge was close enough we could easily walk to all the places we wanted to go. The staff was terrific, very helpful, courteous and friendly- that southern hospitality in action. (Special shoutouts to Scarlet and Bri!)”

”The view of the ocean was the only good thing about my room. The air conditioner didn't cool, no coffe pot,refrigerator didn't work,broke ice machine,stayed on 9th floor one elevator broke also could have had a microwave per request found out last night there. The only good thing about stay was staff Kat and Ernest. If I could have stayed in the lobby would have been amazing very disappointing paying well over 300 a night. I will never go back to the Tides again.”

”It smelled like cat pee. The overnight staff called at 2am to see if our room was occupied, but we were sound asleep and did not answer. We then woke up to the staff member attempting to open our door repeatedly. We were very freaked out and were not able to sleep for quite some time. I went to the desk a bit later and asked for more details and he said the system glitched and it said our room was not occupied. I get the mistake but it was a crazy thing to happen. The room had an awful stench...

”Great place to stay, quick check in, clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast”

”Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our stay. We checked in around 10 pm and were told we could not get an extra blanket or pillow because housekeeping was gone and the clerk was not able to get the items for us. The tool was decently clean until we found a bug on our pillow, a hole in the wall that made us uncomfortable so I had to stuff tissue paper in it, the toilet seat came off and a picture fell off the wall at 5 am and scared us to death. There was also a sketchy man standing by...

”Central location. Staff phenomenal. Great restaurant and pleasant rooftop restaurant/bar. Service was super slow on the Rooftop both times, it helped that the weather was good. Artwork throughout the property made it unique. Who else serves milk and cookies at 9:00 each night? I would definitely stay there again. ”

”It was we were the most important people there. From the greeting at the desk to the help withe luggage. Stepping into our room was like a dream. So classic and classy. Elegant and big. Everything was thought of. From the personal note/thank you to the bottle of champagne and delicious coconut cake. Fantastic is an understatement. Can't wait to get back here.”

”Internet was slow. Room seemed clean, but carpet on stairs between 1st and 2nd floors was very dirty. No almond milk at breakfast and staff did not know what I was asking for when I requested almond milk. No gluten-free options. These food items were relevant to me b/c I have multiple food allergies. Otherwise, it was a fine stay at a location about 12 minutes from the Charleston historic district.”

”The property is great, all the areas are nice, the only downside form my perspective is the staff, they 0 in customer service. But, the place is super good, and well located.”

”Room was small and tight to move around in. Water pressure was not good in the shower. The bathroom had minimal surface area for placing items on. The refreshments area in the lobby was very basic. It is in a great location. We enjoyed the fitness room. We had a positive experience overall. ”
