”Everything was awesome at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and everything was spotless. My only complaint was that they only had queen beds when I booked a king. However, that was attributed to booking on Expedia and we were given a room with a nice view when I mentioned it was my 35th wedding anniversary. A good compromise.”

”We booked two carriage house rooms for a long weekend and it was amazing. Let's start with the location. White Point Garden is directly across the street. It is an easy walk to the Battery. About a mile to Pineapple Fountain, etc. There is plenty of street parking (permit provided on check in) so you could park and walk almost anywhere. Or catch the free Dash bus nearby. ”It took a while to write this review for the hotel we stayed in. My complain is the toilet. There were two yellow stains on the bottom of the two sides of the toilet. I know it’s peer. It means nobody cleans the toilet properly. So disgusting! No matter you are happy or not to see my review. I must tell you what I saw. IHG is a famous chain company. I do wish you can develop better. Good luck!”

”I have traveled enough around the US and the world, but I have never experienced a hotel with walls this thin. Staying in Room 103, I could clearly hear every word of conversation and the television from the next room all night. When I talked to the front desk at 3:00 AM, the staff member simply replied, “The only thing we can do is just let them know.” The neighboring TV stayed on loudly until 8:00 AM, making sleep completely impossible. Poor soundproofing combined with unhelpful night staff...

”Our stay at The Loutrel was amazing. They take excellent care of their guests. Breakfast was delicious every morning, as were the cocktails, the nightly one-bite desserts, and the mezzanine level that was stocked with snacks! I would recommend The Loutrel to anyone considering a stay in Charleston. The location and service can’t be beat!”

”Rooms are small. Parking is difficult. But so is parking all throughout the city, not just them. Otherwise a really nice hotel, no complaints. Centrally located. No reason not to stay here unless you’re looking for super opulence on the water, which you should expect to pay a much different amount for that”
