”Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach.”

”If I could upload photos of how terrible my room was it do justice for the word I have about this place. Where do I start, when you walk in the floor is dirty. Looks like paint was split. The ceiling is falling apart. There was gum left on the night stand. The desk chair had paint or who knows what it was on it. The mirrors had writing on them. The bathroom tub was filthy. Just whole room at experience was the worst for the location.”

”Staff was very friendly. Rooms were dirty. Comforters still had food stains on them. We checked in Friday morning for two nights. Slept there Friday. Drove home Saturday night because we did not want to stay another night in the hotel. Had 3 rooms.”

”This hotel was disgusting. The rooms were nasty with stains on the mattress and sheets. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The sheets had rips in them. The towels and bathroom were unsanitary. We checked out early and found a different hotel to stay in because the property was so nasty.”

”Upon arrival everything looked ok and our room looked nice. We had been in the heat all day and just looking forward to getting showers and resting. Shower gel was completely empty, but front desk sent more quickly. Found several pubic hairs in the shower and hotel never acknowledged by message about that. TV was not a smart one and we were unable to screencast our phones so had to watch shows on our phones. Looking forward to sleeping in to be woken by very loud, repetitive noises beginning at...

”I cannot say enough about The Loutrel. It was recommended by my daughter who stayed there last year. She said it was a hotel to remember and she was spot on! From the moment we walked in it felt special graced with Southern hospitality. The lobby/gathering area & bar was so beautifully decorated with so much natural light. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room and all common areas were so clean and spacious with large windows letting in natural light. The extras are the bomb!...

”We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here.”
