We had a nice stay overall! The music in the evenings and fresh fruit at breakfast were lovely. However, the rooms were pretty dated and noticed some ants on the drawers and bathroom shelves. When we initially arrived, the hotel room wasn't clean (dirty linens), but staff were quick to take action. That said, we arrived late that evening (11pm) and it was disappointing to have to wait for a clean room after a long day of travel.

Good motel-style hotel. A lot of parking space, calm environment, cute courtyard with pool. Room a bit aged but still good (except for a lot of weird spider-like bugs near the bed-side table. Be cautious since they are curious). Breakfast options quite limited (as usual in US).

We had a lovely stay overall. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had an especially nice time getting to know one of the resident cats Isabelle (the all black cat). We’ll definitely be coming back!

Overall, this hotel is a very special place, with all of its common areas overlooking gorgeous views of Kauai's mountains. The proprietors can provide all kinds of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, and so on. Our one issue was with housekeeping—we were there for three nights, and our room was cleaned after the first night, but not again after the second. Considering what we paid for this room, it seemed like a weird oversight, but we were pretty unhappy to come back to our room at 9 p.m. and find our wet towels still on the floor. I recommend that future guests ask at the desk about when to expect housekeeping and whether it happens every day.

I would definitely recommend Kauai Inn. Hopefully they get the bridge repaired. Difficult getting to the place.

Might be a little old fashioned but totally nice and welcoming, authentic local experience, even gave us traditional kukui nut lei necklaces at checkin. Cute pool area. Breakfast outdoors in the garden is gratis. All the amenities without being sterile and touristy.

Beautiful peaceful property away from all the other hotels. Set under some pretty cliffs. Enjoyed the ukulele performance at the pool in the evening and the complimentary hot drinks and breakfast in the morning. Glad we stayed here !

Very helpful staff at every step, both our early check in and letting us swim in the pool past quiet time into the 9 o'clock hour. Everyone so nice and welcoming. I very much appreciated the single night booking, when many others needed 2 or 3 night minimums. The included breakfast was a nice plus. All was well with the room. We'll be back on our next trip to Kauai, which will no doubt be longer.

The place is cool retro but is close to a container facility and the backup alarms go all day. Also the prevailing winds blow the diesel fumes to the property. The cruise lines come and go and cause congestion in the area. Staff is friendly and made us feel welcome.

The experience you get at Kauai Inn is probably the most aloha it can get. Staff is extremely friendly and relaxed. The property and the rooms are clean and visually pleasing. The location in the middle of the island makes it a perfect base for discovering the beaches and other attractions on Kauai by car.

Employees at the property were beyond wonderful. They helped with anything they could. I don’t think I walked past a single employee who didn’t greet us. Breakfast being provided was super convenient. WiFi was a bit slow and having to pay a decent amount to do a load of laundry were a bit of a downfall but overall, wonderful place to stay.

The outdoor and atmosphere of the property was nice. The room was good. The 24 hour coffee bar was great as we had to leave early in the am. We only stayed on the island for 1 night and it worked out great. Very convenient, reasonable, and no hidden fees.

Older hotel so structures as expected, and nicely maintained. Clean, nice and friendly. Beautiful location and ambiance. A few changes have been made since our visit a few years ago. New management? All good! This our go to hotel for our first night in Kauai, and will continue to be!

Comfortable beds, nice setting and grounds. Great Staff. Great coffee. Excellent to be able to borrow beach towels, umbrella & chairs. Minimal, but nice breakfast. Roosters are an early-morning nuisance here, as they are everywhere! Older motel, but really well kept and clean. Not cheap, but reasonable compared to others.

We stayed here at the last minute after a snafu with another reservation. The place and staff were great - definitely a relaxed vibe to the check-in/check-out process. There were some oddities: a king size bed but only 1 chair and 1 bedside table, the key to the room took some effort to get in and turn the knob. A bit expensive based on state-side rates, but, all-in-all, generally a good motel.
