”It was good as it had free car park. Bad things had no WiFi available or own mobile data wasn’t working. The bed was shaking and keeps moving . Was in the middle of nowhere! Had no breakfast service either . No tv”

”We didn't used the pool or other facilities but out room was amazing, fab breakfast and great price. The receptionist, (her name began with an M), was truly lovely and a real credit to the hotel.”

”Very expensive restaurant with limited choice. No welcome from staff we hen passing reception. Expensive breakfast with limited choice both our choices were not available. Buffet but no attempt to clear table Staff standing around and you even have to serve yourself Not a friendly place.”

”Good hotel for a short stay, a bit dated but good. Positives: Friendly staff, good size room, clean. The not so great: Breakfast is the biggest disappointment. The choice is minimal and quality should be better. If the breakfast options included fried eggs or pouched eggs and the supplied bread, jam and sausage quality would be better the rating would be much higher.”

”Lovely brick building from 1902 retaining all its old charm. Now a modern pub/hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food that evening which was very good. Wine and beer prices were quite step but that's par for the course nowadays!!! The bedroom was well appointed etc. All in all, a great stay there.”

”Friendly and helpful host. Nice welcome on arrival. Small but functional room with comfy bed, decent (shared) bathroom. Adequate parking. Nice continental breakfast. Comfy lounge area with big screen TV for watching cricket highlights! Walls are very thin. Could hear the next room folks talking at 1am.”

”Looks great from the outside but tired in the inside. My room was quirky which was fine but the furniture and the bathroom in particular was very dated and could have done with some tlc. The food was ok - bar snacks - but seemed to be very random opening and closing times in the evening. Stunning grounds and location which partly made up for the underwhelming interior.”
