”Room was ready when we checked in. Breakfast was excellent again (reason we returned). Saves us money because buying 2 breakfast for two day would have cost 40 for each day. Our room rate nets out to 100.00 per day. The Holiday Express is next to Food Lion Grocery convivence shopping ample parking.”

” I review the hotel upon every visit hoping that the owner will invest and renovate this property. It is a great location and he community is growing. The furnishings are at least 20 years old! There aren't charging stations or options for entertainment on the TV. I couldn't stream the channels that I have because the TV setup is so old. The breakfast is blah now, not very many options, and the service- simple things like making the bed is unheard of. The manager gives a lot of double speak...

”The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. There was visible hair in the bathtub, grime and debris along baseboards and surfaces, and one of the towels provided had visible staining and did not appear clean. I also observed multiple insects in the room, including in the bathroom. More concerning, the room door did not function properly. I had difficulty entering and exiting the room, and one of the locks was not working. I had to rely on staff assistance to access the room, which raised...

”Room was small and tight to move around in. Water pressure was not good in the shower. The bathroom had minimal surface area for placing items on. The refreshments area in the lobby was very basic. It is in a great location. We enjoyed the fitness room. We had a positive experience overall. ”

”Internet was slow. Room seemed clean, but carpet on stairs between 1st and 2nd floors was very dirty. No almond milk at breakfast and staff did not know what I was asking for when I requested almond milk. No gluten-free options. These food items were relevant to me b/c I have multiple food allergies. Otherwise, it was a fine stay at a location about 12 minutes from the Charleston historic district.”

”The room were okay. But when we were trying to extend our stay for another night the staff were no help. They did offer anything. They basically said that you booked through Expedia you talk to Expedia. They didn’t even offer to book the extra night with them. So we booked the extra night somewhere else ”

”The pictures made this property look impeccable, and not look at all like a motel. Kudos on the marketing! We stayed in room 238 in March of 2026 the weather was cool, and upon entering the room it smelled very musty. We inspected the thoroughly to see if we could possibly located the smell. We turned on the air conditioner and that was not the problem. (Side note: this air conditioner wall unit had a lot of drywall damage under the unit and the trim that was around the unit was gone.)
