”Hotel was very good”

”We only had a short stay there but the hotel and rooms are spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent food and well stocked bar. Ample parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to go back again. Thanks guys and gals 👍”

I would also like to commend the night staff, who were exceptionally professional, understanding, and accommodating throughout our stay. However, our experience in Room 11 was deeply unsettling. During the night, my partner was abruptly woken and believed she had been physically touched, which caused her considerable distress. ”Our room was in the Old Swan,it is a property that the Old Lodge must own. It's a few minutes walk from the lodge.It was ok but wouldn't stay again. Breakfast was lovely,fresh fruit, croissants, everything cooked to order. The only niggle was that we went for a drink in the lounge about 9 o clock,and it was just staff stood there ,one was swearing,which I don't think was acceptable in a posh establishment and while guests were present . Check in staff were lovely,but we won't be staying again.”

”Friendly welcoming staff, varied menu and excellent food and atmosphere in the bar area. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it. Clean and quiet room with a comfortable bed and small but adequate en-suite. We would stay again and would happily recommend it to others.”

”Nice big room and bathroom, the only downside was staying there during a hot spell and the bathroom got the sum very early morning and the bedroom for the rest of the day making it unbearable to sleep in, even though there was a fan provided. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed properly so with shuffling due to the heat it didnt stay on for long. Great location and a good base for visiting the area and plenty of parking. We had breakfast but wished we hadnt as it was very disappointing when...

”Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs.”

”The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off. Shame that the management didn't check the room thoroughly prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great room,...

”I had a basement room, 2 flights of stairs down with no lift. No window in the room and poor television reception. Otherwise the room was ok.”
