”This is not a good hotel. Not even average. The shower was broken, the TV screen was broken. It had ripples in it. The sound exploded as well. They said that they would have coffee by the reception in the morning, which they didn't have. They dont offer neither shampoo nor conditioner nor shower soap. No hand or face towels. Just one single bath towel. Not worth it at all. Pretty crappy.”

”Check in was easy, the owner provided me with bldg and room access. Hotel rules was explained via email in details. I only had one issue with no shower gel. "Although the service at this hotel was good, the pool area was enjoyable and well maintained, and the breakfast was nice, unfortunately, the room experience was disappointing. The less expensive rooms do not have actual windows; instead, they have a glass walls facing the hallway, which was not made clear at the time of booking and felt misleading. Noise was also a major issue. Despite the rooms being marketed as soundproof, they were anything but. Music and party noise from downstairs carried all the way up to the rooms and continued late into the night, although we upgraded the rooms to be further from the main area, making it difficult to rest. Given that this hotel is one of the most expensive options in the area, the lack of transparency and the poor sound insulation were especially frustrating, as you would reasonably expect a higher standard for the price."

"We had an excellent stay in the ocean front room with double windows. Nice and clean, and whatever we would need would be coming to us fast. In my experience and after three years in the Dominican Republic, the customer service of this country has a lot to improve but Catalonia Santo Domingo was fantastic and exceptional! Kind and smiling staff all around. THANK YOU! Everything worked in an easy and smooth way. Lots of smiles and kindness."
