Pieni lämmin studio
Sijainti on Lontoon kokoisessa kaupungissa tärkein valintaperusteeni, asun aina Bayswaterissa. Tuubilla pääsee hyvin tunnissa Heathrowlta vaihtamalla Earls Courtissa, hotelli on 2 korttelin päässä Bayswaterin asemalta. Sain apua matkalaukun kantamiseen kapeita portaita pitkin pieneen kolmannen kerroksen studiooni, josta aukesi näkymä yli kattojen. Kaksi askelta ikkunalle, neljä kylppäriin, mutta tärkeintä oli huoneen lämpö, myös veden suhteen. Yö oli niin hiljainen, ettei voinut uskoa olevansa Lontoon keskustassa ja pieni keittiö oli kätevä oman aamiaisen valmistamiseen. Queensway on täynnä eri hintaisia etnisiä ravintoloita ja illallisen jälkeen nautin hyvästä BBC:n ohjelmasta huoneessani.

Victorian ajan tunnelmaa
Todella kiva Victorian ajan rakennus sisäpuutarhoineen ja brittirihkamoineen. Huone oli kompakti ja suihkukoppi varsinkin, mutta vesi ei ollut kylmää ja hanat olivat ihan nykyaikaa. Ravintolaa hotellissa ei ole, mutta huoneessa oli täysin varusteltu keittiösysteemi ja aulassa oli tarjolla omppuja. Henkilökunta oli mukavaa. Vanhan rakennuksen pakollisina varjopuolina ovat tietysti hissittömyys ja ilmastoinnin puute. Portaat ylempiin kerroksiin ovat ahtaat ja jyrkät, mutta eipä tuo haitannut kuin matkalaukun rahtaamista. Ilmastoinnin puuttumisesta huolimatta huoneessa pystyi nukkumaan jopa 30 asteen hellepäivän jälkeen, kun piti ikkunaa auki. Avoimesta ikkunasta sitten tietysti kantautui epäsäännöllistä meteliä ihmisten saapuessa pitkin yötä takseilla kadun muihin hotelleihin. Langaton verkko toimi nopeasti niin aulassa kuin neloskerroksessakin, mutta jostain syystä ensiksi saamassani kolmannen kerroksen huoneessa ei juuri lainkaan. Onneksi sain huoneen vaihdettua paikan päällä.

Kultakaloja ja patsaita puutarhassa
Yövyin 6 yötä tässä viehättävässä "brittityylisessä" studio majoituksessa. Huone oli siisti ja WiFi toimi moitteettomasti. Kylpyhuone ja keittiönurkkaus oli modernisoitu. Hotellin puutarhassa patsaita ja kultakaloja. Lähellä 2 metroasemaa sekä useita bussilinjoja. Hotellissa on vastaanotto 24h, ei hissiä. Tulen varmasti uudelleen!

Voi myös olla hyvä joskus olla ihan hiljaakin.
Olin pari yötä hotellissa henk.koht surumatkalla. Tämä toimi siihen loistavasti. Kukaan ei hössöttänyt mitään, ja yöt olivat hiljaisia.

I had a really nice stay at Vancouver Studios. The room was really small but excellent for a short visit in London. I would defanetly stay here again. Bed was really comfy and the location nice.

aikuiseen makuun toimiva paketti
todella siisti ja erinomainen 24 h respapalvelu. Wifi toimi myös hyvin,Pyydä huone puutarhan puolelta, kadulta kuuluu rutkasti ääniä, hotellissa on vain yksinkertaiset ikkunat. Yksiöt ilmeisesti neljännessä kerroksessa ja portaat ovat tosi kapeat ja jyrkät. Paksu kokolattiamatto portaissa vaikeuttaa myös kulkua. Hotelli helppo löytää, erinomaiset palvelut ja liikenneyhteydet kulman takana. Minikeittiötä käytin itse aamiaisen tekoon. Oikein toimiva. Huone mielestäni suuri lontoolaiseen yleistasoon verrattuna. Ehdottomasti suosittelen ja mielelläni varaan uudelleen.

Hyvä sijainti
Siisti ja rauhallinen hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. Notting Hill lähellä, ja hyvät metro- ja bussiyhteydet.

had a kitchenette and very comfortable bed. Does not have a lift so we had to carry our luggage up to the fourth floor on narrow steps. Very convenient location.

We stayed for 2 nights in early May. We arrived early and were offered an “upgraded” room from our twin beds. The room had a queen bed and a pull out sofa. In hind sight, I should have gone with my intuition and declined a sofa bed option. But we were assured the bed was equally as comfortable as the regular bed. This was not the case. It was uneven, very squeaky, and the coils in the mattress dug into my ribs. My nights sleep was very poor because of this. This pull out was not even close to the quality of the actual bed in the room. The hotel is older and that is what gives it the charm. But the window's in the room have not been upgraded. Therefore we could hear the noise from the street clearly. There isn’t any air conditioning in the room. Which we didn’t think would be an issue in May. But the temperature was 22 degrees and the room was quite warm. Keep this in mind for temperatures above this. Sleep will be uncomfortable. One last thing that I found unsettling. The hotel still uses keys for room entry. It is the policy of the hotel that when you leave for the day you must leave your key with reception. In 2024 you would think a hotel would have switched to a more secure option like a key card. Giving my key to reception and having the key hung on a board seems like an opportunity for less scrupulous employees. I am not saying they are, but what if…. Perhaps it’s time to invest in better room security. The back garden was lovely.

Convenient location, neat and clean property. It does not have an elevator so if you have heavy luggage like we did, do take note that you might have to lift your bags up 2-3 stories!

Firstly, upon check-in, we were informed by the receptionist that the room we had reserved, a Basic Twin Room with 2 Twin Beds, was unavailable. Instead, we were given a room with only one bed. This was a clear deviation from the reservation we had made and significantly inconvenienced us, especially considering we had traveled from Los Angeles with large checked bags and were exhausted from the journey. Adding to our frustration, the room was located on the fourth floor of the building, which lacked an elevator. This meant that we had to navigate multiple flights of stairs with our heavy luggage, exacerbating our already tired state. Upon expressing our concern to the staff, we were initially met with resistance. The receptionist argued that the room with 2 twin beds was not available at the time of our check-in and claimed that the single-bed room was an upgraded version offered to us at no extra charge. However, after further investigation, it was revealed that the room we had originally booked was indeed available, indicating a lack of attention to detail and organization on the part of the staff. Subsequently, we were required to relocate to the correct room, resulting in additional inconvenience and wasted time. Moreover, upon settling into the room, we discovered that it was not adequately cleaned, with stained sheets and overall poor cleanliness standards.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it has not failed to disappoint. It’s traditional, friendly and so convenient. A short walk from Hyde park and we also walked through the park to the Royal Albert Hall. It has a quirky feel with its quaint decor and lovely garden. Close to Notting Hill too and a 20 minute walk to Portobello market. The apartment had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly with a bonus of 24hr reception.

Nice, hotel…uncomfortable bed let it down
We were only here for 1 night but for some reason had been upgraded from a double to an apartment. The space was huge and had everything we needed. There was a dressing table with a mirror and a plug socket beside it which was a plus…so many hotels don’t think of this! The only negative was the double bed….it was ridiculously soft so super uncomfortable! I ended up with a sore neck for the next couple days. Other than that the hotel was perfectly situated for our needs.

It was very nice and tidy, in a good location and reasonably priced for London. The only two things worth mentioning are that it has a lot of stairs and that at night you need to toggle the hallway lights on in order to see in the hallways. But would recommend the stay.

This hotel charged me twice for one night and will not provide a refund. They won't help and told me to contact my back if I wanted to dispute the charges. This has ruined an otherwise nice stay. The property itself was nice and the person who checked me into the hotel was excellent.

The room, bed and the shower were really small spaced. Liked the location. The experience could had been better except the poor quality service provided by one of the employee which resulted in a really embarrassing situation for us. The room service entered our room without knocking or acknowledging while we were changing. Apparently the front desk employee missed updating the system or manager that we extended the stay. Not impressed at all how this situation was handled.

Super Comfy for solo female traveller
Hotel is in safe area with lots of restaurants and shops. Close to 2 tube stations and walking to Notting Hill and Portobello Market. Saw a few shows so had to come later at night and felt very safe. Staff and super friendly and helpful. The Italian staff caught a spider in my room, bless him. Room is small but has everything you need. Would definitely stay again.

Great location; handy to tube and bus system. Close to Hyde park for nice strolls. Two single bed rooms are smallish but this is to be expected. Mattresses too soft and one need to be replaced. Had kitchenette but not well stocked. Shower area was very cramped but good water pressure and water temperature. Liked courtyard area for sitting and decompressing after a day of sight seeing. Good value overall.

My daughter and I spent a week in London and Vancouver Studios was a fantastic place to come home to after each day of adventure. We loved the neighbourhood, the staff were very kind and helpful and our room, while small, was cozy and comfortable.

Great location to train station, Hyde park and heaps of shops. Only one stop away from Paddington which has the Heathrow express train. Bed comfortable, staff great, has everything you need. Only negative was no elevator so you have to get bags up narrow step staircase (I was on third floor). But overall a great place to stay.

Very convenient location. Easy walk to 3 tube stations. Good dining choices and good british style pubs close by. Hotel is a in a lovely old building. Only draw back no lifts. The room was very small but manageable. The bed was very soft and a double size. I would stay again but ask for a room on a lower floor.
