”The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English.”

”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

The carpet was dusty (or at least not cleaned/vacuum cleaned) since the previous customer, nor was it cleaned between our 2 nights stay. What was much worse; in the room there was a stark moldy smell that did not go off even as we kept the windows from both sides of the room open for 2 full days & nights. ”Breakfast was just ok, certainly not really a good value. Rooms are dark, low ceilings, out-updated furniture, etc. All in all, the hotel is good enough, though one may not think of it as a spa like experience, especially when considering that this is one of the attractions/ amenities that they are offering & advertising.”

”Enjoyed staying here lovely old Cotswold stone style Manor House room was fine looked over garden so was quiet I liked having a room that allowed you to open windows ! Highlight for me was the breakfast everything to my liking and staff all very pleasant.”

”Note that this is on the north side of the motorway so when heading south we had to do a detour. And when we got to the place we were told that breakfast was back on the north side. And when we left in the morning there was no one around to ask how to get there if we drove as we didn't have much time. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for one.”

”A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.”
