Expedia’s disconnect with the hotel resulted in the failure to update the reservation correctly. We booked several rooms for our family due to the need to attend a family memorial. Expedia updated the itinerary incorrectly and the hotel was going to charge an extra night on the reservation. One of our family members had to find alternate lodging during a stressful family event. Neither the hotel nor Expedia is set up to flex around the guest names when multiple rooms have been reserved and paid for. If your name isn’t listed on the room, you can’t check in ( in the event that someone else paid for several rooms and put all the rooms in their own name). Ridiculous.
