The only minor inconvenience during our stay was that the hotel restaurant was undergoing renovation, so guests had to find nearby places to eat, which was easy as there are many options within walking distance. This year I can say that the service was very much improved. They now have an 18% service charge added to all food and beverage orders and maybe that is part of how they have retained a better staff but in any event it was much improved over the past few years and I am OK with the built in service charge if that's what fixed it. The room was pretty basic and I had some trouble with the hot water in the shower, but it was very comfortable and clean, with some unique art.
