This eight-bedroom noble floor apartment is perfect for a family vacation or a retreat with friends and colleagues, accommodating large groups with ease.Stepping out of the apartment, you'll find yourself immersed in the very essence of Lucca. Embark on a delightful walk to Piazza San Michele, the Anfiteatro, the Guinigi Tower, Piazza Napoleone, and the designer shopping paradise of Via Fillungo and Via del Battistero. This place was beyond our expectations. Very large apartment with tons of privacy for our party to spread out. Well appointed amenities. Found easy parking within the city walls within a 5 min walk. Stayed in multiple properties with Lucca Apartments and Villas and all of the service was A+. Would definitely visit again.

The perfect home base to explore Tuscany

The house was ideally located for out group. Easy to get to the train station for day trips- easy for vans to pick us up for excursions- and close to all the things inside the wall. Cristina was our contact, and she was super helpful, we even had some issues with the A/C and they sent someone out quickly to remedy it. It had the perfect number of bedrooms/bathrooms for our group and the large dining table was perfect for the 2 nights we decided to eat in.

A wonderful first experience in Lucca with much gratitude to the special team of people who work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The house is well-appointed, close to everything and would be great for large familiesthose traveling with friends. The home is on a street plenty of restaurants, shops etc and there is an amazing pastry called DIANDA!

It is hard to put into words how wonderful our stay was at Casa Penelope! From start to finish, this beautiful apartment provided the most enjoyable experience for our entire family. Christine was the most responsive, helpful host - she made sure every detail was attended to. We will never forget our special time in Lucca!

We absolutely loved our group stay at Casa Penelope! The home was spacious and filled with historic, Lucca aesthetic to a tee. Each room had its own unique vibe and presence. Host was super accommodating and communicative. Perfect location in walking distance of everything needed within the city. Would highly recommend !

Excellent location

Perfect for a family stay. We've never had an apartment with such a good supply of plates, cups, cutlery etc. although larger glasses for long drinks would have been appreciated. The location could not have been better, right at the centre but still quiet. Any disadvantages we found were far outweighed by the wonderful surroundings and location.

Spacious 7 bedroom

Overall we had a great stay and appreciated the spaciousness, charm and modern conveniences like dishwasher, washing machine and bed/bath linens. The location near the wall was fantastic. We also appreciated the quick response from the property manager on all issues. The apartment should be marketed as 7 bedrooms loft. The 8th bedroom is on a 3rd floor with no wall or bathroom. Also, three of the downstairs bedrooms do not have in-suite bathrooms - two bathrooms are located in the hallway and one is next to the kitchen.Street noise: we stayed over a holiday weekend and the partying on Saturday night was very loud and continued until 2AM. This mainly impacted guests in the exterior-facing bedrooms.Hot water in the upstairs bathrooms was an issue before the handyman came.Wifi was not working in the upstairs bedrooms - a modem was offered by the property owner and would be a nice permanent feature.Despite the noise, the location is excellent - within steps of the Lucca wall and on a vibrant, bustling street with tons of shops and cafés.

The property was great location and an amazing apartment in size /layout and architectural design - however it was sadly in disrepair. One shower was broken and unusable, one room had no air-conditioning at all and those with units were in desperate need of cleaning . Several family members suffered from allergies dues to dust and possible mold. Overall cleanliness of apartment was of concern . Sadly this is the first VRBO I have ever had to give a negative review.

Lucca è una città da sogno dove ritorno sempre volentieri. All’interno di quelle mura dove il tempo scorre lento ti coinvolge la magia del suo centro storico dove ti perdi estasiato a contemplare le strade, le piazze, le case e ogni singola pietra. Dove profumi e colori infondono calma e serenità L’host ci ha riservato un’accoglienza e un’assistenza eccezionali, dal nostro arrivo alla partenza. Chiara è stata sempre disponibile, ma soprattutto Sidrak, persona gentile e sensibile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste. Non sei solo, puoi sempre contare sulla loro discreta presenza. All’interno di un palazzo storico, l’abitazione è meravigliosa, d’altri tempi, arredata con quel gusto e quella classe che ben si sposano ad una città bellissima e unica come Lucca. Non è uno spartano e moderno appartamentino per quattro giorni di vacanza, è una vera casa nobiliare toscana che ti proietta a un bel po' di anni fa e che arricchisce di fascino il tuo soggiorno. Ogni pezzo d’arredo merita attenzione e rispetto. E’ dotata inoltre di tutte quelle comodità che cerchi in una casa subito tua e dove trascorri con piacere quelle poche ore che Lucca ti concede per riposarti.

Great Location

The location of Casa Penelope is perfect. We stayed for a month with friends and family. Proximity to great restaurants, the Wall, the bus station, churches and shops was ideal. Overall, it was a good experience, but we had a number of issues with the property. The apartment was on the second floor, not the first as advertised when we booked it, and when we inquired how many steps up to the apartment prior to booking, we were told there were 5. In fact there were 34. We probably would not have rented it if we had been told the truth, since several of us are "older". The WIFI did not work in all the rooms, the AC was not working, the stove and oven in one of the upstairs kitchens did not work nor did the TVS, and we weren't given keys to the doors to either of the separate upstairs wings. (The doors locked automatically when closed). The owner was able to get the WIFI working everywhere after a week and two visits, and the AC working after three visits. We had two days of super hot weather with no AC. And he eventually gave us his keys to the upstairs doors, with the admonition that they were the only set. All of these things should have been checked out and in working order before we arrived. The check-in process was poor. Sonja expressed that it was an inconvenience for her, showed us around the apartment only at our request. We were not shown how to operate the air conditioner, washers, TVs, or where the glasses and dishes were located (not in the kitchen!). And as she left from her hurried visit wit us, indicated that if we had problems, not to call her. We should address them to someone else in her office. We felt like we were an inconvenience to her. Communication with the management company was poor from the beginning. We made our reservation in Spring of 2021. While most of my emails regarding our stay were eventually answered, often the information I was trying to obtain was ignored. It is a great property AND really should be better managed.

We had a blast during our stay in Lucca and I think it was mostly because of this beautiful flat! All arranged with such a good taste and so much love, it was amazing! Very good located (next to a cheap parking place (Parcheggio Palatucci)) and in the middle of the city!
