This apartment had all the updates you'd want for your home away from home. We stayed a month in the fall and appreciated the modern decor, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and especially the little balcony overlooking the bustling street life. We spent many hours out there with coffee in the morning watching workers hustling off to their jobs and kids riding bikes to school, and with wine in the evening watching the families out for a walk with strollers and dogs and gelato.
The location was perfect, just around the corner from Piazza Napoleon, where we spent many a happy hour sipping limoncello spritzes at a couple of favorite neighborhood cafes. We could walk to the train station in less than 15 minutes for frequent day trips and a couple of overnights to Florence and Bologna. No need for a car.
Lastly, we appreciated the elevator in the building, a luxury in Lucca, to take us up to our 2nd floor apartment. We will be back and certainly book with Lucca Apartments and Villas.
The only suggestion, and it's a tiny one, would be the addition of pillows on the oversized couch (as in the marketing photo). It was hard to get comfortable to watch television, and we brought bed pillows out for support. You just need soften up the sleek contemporary decor a tad, particularly for long-term renters, who are spending time indoors.
