”I do not think that Dorothy's is a good place to stay for older people. I am 71 with a bad knee. The 3 flights of stairs with no elevator were hard going. The bedroom had a queen bed against the wall. As older people who have to use the bathroom during the night this was very inconvenient - the person next to the wall had to wake the other person in order to get out of bed. And not having a bathroom attached to the room was not ideal. Also our room went off the kitchen /laundry area. People...

10. The Morris Estate

”This was the perfect place for a quick 2 night mini-honeymoon after our wedding. The grounds and River House were beautifully kept. We rented a little EV cart to explore and it was the best decision, we really loved roaming around through the woods and taking in the beautiful scenery. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful. My only wish is that there were options onsite for dinner and drinks at the cute little bar, but I understand the demand is likely not...

”My son and I had a wonderful stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, decorated with antiques, and well-stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent from booking through check-out, and they were friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The property was well maintained. Mary is amazing and her homemade breakfast was the perfect way to start our morning. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommend this property...

13. Ray's Bucktown B&B

Bucktown

”This B&B is absolutely worth visiting due to the breakfast. If you are tired of those standard hotel breakfasts visit this place and you'll be happy. Rooms are rather normal and the general spaces are full of "collector's" stuff, don't let that disturb you (ok the weightlifter statue might get the cr** out of you if you stay in the room next to that) .. breakfast is the thing why you come here (you'll get a 5* breakfast in this place). Staff is extremely nice (enjoyed discussing with them a lot)...
