”One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced....

”I can't say enough about the Sugar Boat....check in, personnel, food.. all incredible. The location is perfect..right in the middle of a pedestrian square. Every single interaction we had with the staff couldn't have been more positive. Wonderful experience!”

”Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer: Great breakfast and a large room with comfortable bed, big bathtub/ shower with separate toilet. Staff was super friendly and helpful.”

”Stayed in the hotel section after a very long international flight so it was nice to be near the airport. Enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds and enjoyed a sunset view from the back of property. Had a nice dinner at the Palomino. Breakfast was included with our rate and was a nice introduction to a typical Scottish breakfast. All the staff were friendly. Free parking was nice to have too. There was no AC ventilation in our room but a portable fan and window could be angled out. We have...

”The hotel review rating is overrated in my opinion. The hallway to our room smelled aweful. The carpet in the room was stained a lot and seemed not been vacuumed. There were dark hair on the bedding and pillow. The restroom had many dark spots between the tiles especially at the shower. Everything seemed outdated. The parking infront of the entrance was good though. The breakfast was not good at all either. Food tasted bland and bacon was cold. Nothing fresh of vegetables or fruits. ”

”Nice place to stay, train station is a 5 minute walk. Food options and friendly people. Coming from the airport… do NOT take a taxi. 757 bus to Paisley, then train to Greenock central. A LOT cheaper than taxi.”
