”Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Pub staff also, and kindly gave my father no less than 5 different tasters of beers so he could decide what to drink! Lovely quirky interior - looks small from the outside but had lots of different small dining areas inside. Only tiny drawback was the very steep hill up from the rooms furthest away from reception. I hadn't seen it flagged on anything but that may have been because I used a third party site to book online”

”Patjat olivat hieman kovia niinkuin osa palautteissa kertonut. Huoneet ovat pubin päällä, mutta melu ei haitannut kyllä mitenkään. Paikka on lyhyen matkan päässä keskustasta. Henkilökunta oli todella mukavaa. Vieressä yleinen parkkialue, johon sai hotellista 6€:lla vuorokaudeksi paikan. Ajaa ensin parkkialueelle ja sitten pyytää hotellissa digitaalisen maksun.”

”Horndon on the Hill is a picturesque village and the Bell is a delightful pub and hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet and in a pretty setting. My only gripe was breakfast which can work out really expensive. Toast and jam is £4.10, a 'Variety' pack cereal £2.50 and tea £2.50. My breakfast cost £17.10 and it could have been more.”

”This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! (it was inclusive). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Chloe stood out in particular, she was very enthusiastic and informative telling us about the history of the building and going that extra mile in customer service and attention to detail. PS pay the extra for the megga breakfast..... it was only...

”From the moment we arrived Carol made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and explained meals times. She made us feel so at home. The room was cosy and decorated in the style of the coaching inn. Dark furnishings and a king sized bed. Lots of drawers to store clothes and a good sized wardrobe too. Lovely modern shower room with hand wash, body wash and shampoo products provided. Ironing board, hair dryer, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities, tv and bottled water also...

”Very Helpful staff,very quirky room in the roof,lovely touch of the free port in the room and because I was leaving before breakfast they left a small bag of food outside my door,Only small niggle I could see for some was no TV,didn’t bother me and also I kept banging my head when getting out of bed and the bath which was in the same room as the bed,I would definitely stay there again but maybe next time see if they have a normal room 😃”

”Welcoming pub, just stand between the beams if you're 6ft+ tall. Be aware breakfast only starts at 0830 which is too late for most working people but they made me a sandwich to take with me instead so that was appreciated.”
