”The motel was next to the Manapouri lake and there was a very nice view to the lake from the rooms. The rooms were quite basic but all right for two nights (we visited the Doubtful Sound from Manapouri -- and that was great!) The breakfast options were quite good. WiFi hardly worked from the room but was all right in the reception area.”

The bed was super comfortable, the neighborhood very quiet, the location to the lake trail very convenient and the laundry right in the apt was so helpful. ”We loved the location of this cozy cottage in Manapouri. We were able to walk into the village easily and grab dinner and it was a short drive to Te Anau. The owners provided great information about the local area and hikes and had lots of great books about the area. We definitely felt like a local staying here and it was a perfect getaway spot. (We especially loved listening to the melodic birds while sitting on the patio.) ”
