”Nice hotel, not plush but clean, warm, great shower and very convenient location, straight opposite train station and only a short walk to the centre of Halifax.”

”Excellent for the price I paid. Rooms have recently been renovated and it showed. The only niggles were that the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and probably needs replacing (room 10) and there was no hot water: I tried to have a shower but couldn't: No matter how long you ran the tap for or in which position the water never got warm. Would definitely stay there again. Big thank you to Jamie who so very kindly let me check in early.”

”I paid through Expedia. However, Expedia said that they did not receive the payment, and the hotel also asked me to pay for the accommodation. I paid twice. I am very dissatisfied.”

”Lovely room. The porridge and pastry left for breakfast was a lovely touch and not expected. View from the balcony was great although I should imagine spectacular on a sunny day. Great communication prior to the arrival and fast response to my questions.”

”Room was spotlessly clean. Very friendly and courteous staff. This hotel has a very comfortable and friendly feel to it. The cooked breakfast is well worth the money. Table service and freshly cooked and unlike some buffet style breakfasts it is piping hot. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and this is our favourite and the adjoining Italian restaurant is a great place for dinner. We also appreciate the free parking. Just returned from a 4 night stay and looking forward to our next...

”Very strict policies. Don't arrive early. Don't arrive late. Also be prepared for a long lecture about your duties and responsibilities as a paying customer. I don't think I've ever felt so stressed about staying at a hotel. I actually felt the need to take photos of all surfaces and rooms before check-out just to be prepared for the much advertised spot-checks. The funny thing is that with all the emphasis on guest-cleanliness there was a smell of mildew at the elevators and bathrooms, cobwebs...

”We have stayed at the hotel numerous times in the last decade, when in the UK. Always cozy, comfortable and clean. Great views! Josh, the General Manager, displays excellent customer service skills. He was very helpful and understanding of a request beyond our control; and always seemed upbeat. Night staff were also very friendly and kind. Cheers! Jonathan”
