Over the course of a week, I had the fish & chips, the burger, a chicken Caesar salad, and multiple variations of the eggs Benedict. ”Large, comfortable room with a modern en-suite. Very amenable and accommodating hosts with nice ideas such as putting on complimentary food in the bar during England World Cup games. We had a “simple” pie & chips from the menu and it was terrific with, as promised, real gravy. We didn’t have full English breakfast but the toast on the Continental option from a local artisan baker was fab. Lots of little touches that make the Royal Oak a little different from the ordinary.”

”Excellent hotel, lovely room and comfy beds. Just a little slow on serving your drinks but as time goes on hopefully will improve. Can’t believe tax goes on the bill. But would highly recommend. Transfer from hotel to airport is excellent the driver was very knowledgeable and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.”
