”We had a nice room with great views to the river. Bed and bath were ok, not great. The ac was quite loud and I missed more space to put my clothes into.”

”The room was dated (East tower), old brown carpet and wallpaper. Poor lighting.
Cleaning worked well, but the cleaners started working really early.
Noise from the elevators was very loud and our room wasn't even bext to the elevators.
Directions for public transport and shopping from the reception were poor.

”one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Chicago. Great staff. Great restaurant and rooftop bar on the fifth floor. Location is within walking distance of most everything on Michigan Ave. Room was great , bathroom great, beds great. Would and have already highly recommended this hotel to several people. "My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
