”Our family of 5 had a great visit to Munising. Everything in the property listing was exactly as promised with the exception that the second room with three twins had recently been converted to two. Kindly, the property manager gave our girls access to the bunk house which was greatly appreciated. My 11-year old could have stood at the little beach area for three days straight throwing rocks. ”Danielle, the host, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was a great communicator and answered all of our questions, including providing spot-on recommendations. The house had all the supplies we might need, comfortable beds, lots of space to spread out, and beautiful views over the lake. This was an ideal location to explore Pictured Rocks and the surrounding towns. We would highly recommend The Pines!”

”Need many things to organize & finish. It is new & clean. Not ON the trail. The trail is assessable along a 4-lane highway. Trailer area is 10 min drive away. Problem getting hot water, not having correct room, no closet, dresser or hooks so could put anything away. Would consider again later in the future. ”

”This was exactly what my family and I needed to have a wonderful stay in the U.P. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed (washer/dryer were so nice to have also!!)We enjoyed fishing on the dock (caught quite a few fish) and my kids even completed a puzzle to kill some time in the evening. There weren’t really any neighbors during our time there, which made for a quiet and peaceful stay. Only complaint the amount of mosquitoes outside the cottage. Otherwise, this was by far the nicest...

”The lake is quiet and far enough from the touristy parts of the area to be peaceful and uncrowded, but close enough to stuff that you're not driving endlessly to get to civilization. The mattresses are super comfortable, and we really had everything we needed to just chill out.”

”The location is quiet and private.There are 5 cottages and a main house so you have some privacy. The cottages are nice and have all your necessities. The view of the lake is beautiful! We all enjoyed our stay at Elemental on beautiful Shag Lake! Our host George was helpful and communication was perfect! ”

”This was a nice cabin. There are five cabins on the owners' property. The owners had good communication but were otherwise unobtrusive. The main hot tub is shared with cabins 1-4, but cabin 5 has its own private one. Most importantly I took my rescue pitbull and had no issues with the owners or other guests. Some properties have a lot of dog rules so I was pleased to see this property was more lenient.”

”Great location for ice fishing and snowmobile riding. Up North Lodge restaurant/bar is only minutes away with a great menu selection.We rented two cabins which were perfect for our party of 8. Kitchens are a bit small, but have everything you need for cooking meals. Host was great to work with.”
