”Clean and cozy! Loved the vibe inside, plus totally walkable to the main strip, Shepler’s ferry, and any of the local restaurants. Check-in/out was remote too, no hassle or worry at any point. Price is super fair for a simple little place to stay!”

”From the outside it looks like a nice place, the room was clean but there were ants in the bathroom. There was a fridge in the closet but no microwave, the room was dark as there is only one lamp on the nite table. The room is sadly lacking ac outlets and no lamp near the table. We have never seen a coffee pot like the one there, when you pour the coffee it leaks out over everything, also there was only one pack of coffee, we had to go ask for more. ”Clogged shower drain, broken door lock, broken towel rack, god awful breakfast plus it ended at 9AM in a tourist town!, could not get TV reception on the in-room TV, no room cleaning service other than towels on a $200+ room rate, trash in hallways, basically most everything sucked. Would never stay here again…period.”

”Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again.”

”Nothing can be blamed on front line staff when it comes to this disgrace of a hotel. This is a matter attributed to owner/management. The rooms were in a horrible state with stains on the floors, carpets, etc. The bathrooms, plaster, and fixtures were rusted and falling apart. Breakfast was disgusting and consisted of a picture of Fruit Loops taped to a plastic dispenser, an unplugged waffle maker, along with a coffee and juice dispenser, both of which weren’t functioning. ”Bugs every where, pile of bugs in bathroom, bed and outside. Staff doesn’t want to clean them up or change the room. We checked out 1 day prior to original booking because we can’t even sleep.”

”Took my parents to the UP for the first time and they loved their room! Bed was extremely comfortable, everything was super well cleaned, and the location of the motel is perfect for people wanting to go to Mackinaw Island and come back on the same day. I’ll stay here again in a heart beat.”
