”Charming historic hotel which has very recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The team at the hotel are very friendly and professional and the food is excellent. There are lots of walks around the hotel in the grounds and the lovely town of Callander on the doorstep. Is dog friendly too and highly recommend / also has a link to the Beatles and has a Beatles inspired bistro which is lovely.”

”Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate,clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed ”

”This was a very cute little inn above the pub! That definitely gave the stay character, unfortunately it meant the noise could be heard from the pub below. This really wasn't a major problem though, as around 10:00 pm it was all but quite. The property is very convenient and right in the down town! The staff were fantastic! Very helpful and made us feel welcomed!”

”A lovely little hotel slightly off the beaten track but within easy distance of Stirling and main routes to the highlands. Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast. The pub food is really good too should you need lunch or dinner. It was quite warm and humid when I visited with no a/c, although hotel provided a fan, which was helpful. It’s located at a busy intersection, so there is traffic, but given that it’s located in the country, there is still a sense of peace about it. Highly recommend.”

”The staff were lovely extremely helpful. The hotel does need a bit of an upgrade things like towels were clean but very worn and thin. Bring your own. Restaurant food was good and breakfast was traditional.”

”Great place to stay. We stayed in a Mongolian yurt, which was a unique experience, like glamping. The owners are wonderful people who prepared a 5-star breakfast for our family and complemented it with friendly conversation. Overall, it's a great place for people who want to escape soulless hotel chains and create sweet memories.”

”Great location in the shores of Loch Ard with nice rooms and beautiful garden. Swimming pool and saunas are great after walking in the hills. Aberfoyle village nearby has grocery store and places to eat. ”

”A very welcoming hotel with a wonderful view of the Loch, which our bedroom looked out on. All in all an excellent place to stay though I felt the full Scottish breakfast a little pricey at an additional £18.99 Can certainly recommend though.”
