”I was charged an additional £5.00 for parking! That would be fine in a town but this hotel is in a motorway service station so I am not even sure it would be possible to get there by any other method. This means that I would count this as false advertising. Ramada would be better off just advertising the room at £5.00 more. It certainly left a bad taste with me. They do say that parking is charged somewhere but they hide it well! Reception area was nice. Shower was cold and heating rattle-y but...

”My rooms was large & comfortable. Apart from the heater it was excellent. My evening meal was a limited buffet that cost £30. Tbh I don’t eat a lot as would have like the option of a small meal.”

”A very simple & overpriced hotel in a good location. Room cleaning during stay not included, no room service or restaurant in the hotel neither. Just a vending machine with soda, chocolate and crisps. Staff (one person) in the reception 24/7. Felt a bit unsafe at times, despite the hotel entrance being locked after 10 PM. A small bathroom in which water from shower leaked to the floor. Wifi & air conditioning worked well.”

”Dated room, smelt of animals, wasn’t particularly great. Asked for a room change and somehow the alternative that was offered was worse than the one we stayed in.”

”Good news - Free parking for guests. Bad news - No restaurant, no bar, some tea and coffee in room, no phone, hairdryer or safe in room. Shower tray cracked, cracks in wall plaster and a tv with a 2 pin plug to insert into a 3 pin socket we thought was dangerous Extremely basic and a lot run down. Stayed before our flight from Luton basic accommodation at a cheap price.”

”Business/CPD trip. Everything i needed was on the premises. Staff on friday night were very busy, but always attend to your needs. Cottage was squeaky clean. Thank you sooo much! Lively and vibrant Pub (nice to see it so busy ☺️). Dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. Service outstanding. Hope at some Point (er) 🐾🤩 i will have to come back. Thank you all the staff.”

”Very corporate. Premier Inn and Travelodge do it better. We did complain about the quilt and it was replaced. Expect better quality bedding - lumpy pillows and duvets should not be allowed. Poor taste in bedroom art - who wants to wake up to bugs?”

”Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)”

”We arrived quite late for just one night. The check in was simple and staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming. We had food with us and the fridge in the room was a great addition. Plates, cutlery, glasses all in the room, in addition to tea and coffee for the morning. We had a family room and both rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and so our sleep was not disturbed. Would be happy to return should we be back in the area. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant...
