The night Porter was very helpful and friendly, the reception team couldn’t do enough and the breakfast staff went the extra mile!
We forgot our robes from the room but the spa team were kind and gave us spares.

Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open.”

You can do as much or as little as you like using this as a base. We just love the ambience of the whole area. We did trips by car, train, boat, bus as well as feet. Would visit again. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful.
We had a family room in the hotel, which was spacious and clean. Our kids loved the bunk beds, and it was a lovely touch being left sweets and a colouring book.
