Let me start by writing that the staff throughout the hotel we're GREAT! No complaints, helpful, friendly, engaging. That why I treated it three stars, it would have been much lower if not for the staff.
The room. I don't know if it was Expedia or the Solé but the room was very disappointing. If I'd known, I'd have chosen a different room if I knew how small it was. The room was tiny, about the size of an average home bedroom. There was little room to navigate around the bed. In fact, I cut myself on one of the corners because there was so little room to get around the bed. There was very little storage, the clothes cabinet was tiny and the doors could not shut. The light switch on the wall next to the door did not work. The bed was on a wood plank she the "mattress" was made out of something I've never slept on. The bathroom was fine.
The hotel only has three elevators for 25+ floors and housekeeping had to use it as well. There were long waits for an elevator. I'm fact one day two of the three elevators were out of service. In the remaining elevator, one of the guests said she had to wait 40 minutes for ask elevator, have up and used the staircase.
The pool is adequate but the beach front is lovely. The restaurant was very good, food and service were excellent.
Would I come back, maybe, because of the staff but there are enough negatives to this hotel that I'd have to think long and hard about it. And again, I'm not sure who to blame for the room situation.
