”This was a charming inn in the countryside of Vermont with beautiful mountains and valleys. Excellent location in the Mad River Valley to explore the small towns surrounding it!! Historic charm and very accommodating hosts. Friendly service. They are very Informative. Great breakfast as a bonus!! We would definitely recommend and would go back. ”

”This is a lovely old Inn. We found that there was not good lighting to read in our room and just one chair. As the weather was poor It would have been nice to spend time reading. Ther is a couch downstairs that we could have used. ”

”I was VERY lucky to find a room at Lareau Farm Inn a week before the solar eclipse on April 8th, and at a most reasonable price. My luck aside, we enjoyed the rustic decor and settings of this inn; we especially appreciated the hospitality of the staff and the yummy cook-to-order breakfast offerings included. ”

House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles!
