Beautiful Broadkill Beach home with a short walk to the beach.

This home overlooks Prime Hook wildlife refuge at Broadkill beach, with a short 2-minute walk to the beach. Relax on the first floor, which is an open concept, including a large dining room table, sofa, love seat and a large tv, perfect for family time. Also on the 1st floor is a large master bedroom with queen size bed, full bath with shower and a laundry room. Second floor has 2 large bedrooms, 1 bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the other bedroom has a double bed, both bedrooms have a smart TV and a shared full bathroom with a tub/shower unit. There is a folding twin bed available, which can be placed in either bedroom as needed. House also includes 2 decks, one each on rear and front of house prefect for relaxing. New outside shower is also available.

Exactly what we needed!

Home away from home! This beautiful space was perfect for our family of 6. Short walk to the quiet beach (what I wanted!) as well as quick trip to Rehobeth (what teens wanted). Took the ferry and spent a day at Wildwood. Did wreck fishing through a charter out of Lewes. But also spent a ton of time at Broadkill Beach, and enjoying the comfort of this beach house and our family time. Loved it!

Second Stay, Wonderful Again

The house had everything we needed and was just as wonderful as our stay one year ago! The quiet neighborhood, beach access, household amenities, and location are all great! Everything in the house was in great working condition, felt like a little home away from home. Perfect size for a family beach vacation.

Great house! Bring bug spray.

This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The only negative we had AT ALL is that this street is a mosquito haven. I’m actually surprised they didn’t have a screened in porch bc it was so bad. Our friends who stayed a few blocks away had no problem. Other than that though, the house was great! Great location close to the bay and

Very Nice Beach House for Family

We are a family of 5 adults, the house was a great fit for all of us. Bedrooms were all nice size and open living area was a great spot to hangout together. Amenities were very comfortable, especially outside shower which was recently upgraded. Only suggestion would be to have an outside grill, missed not being able to grill on vacation. The area is great, has an old time beach town feel and look, kind of how NJ’s LBI was 30 -40 years ago. Anyway, we would rent here again without hesitation. Everyone enjoyed the stay.

Serene location

This home, well stocked for a long stay and immaculately maintained, is a block from Broadkill Beach. We camped out on the beach and stayed all day thanks bro the supply of beach chairs and umbrella. We enjoyed complete peace and serenity. Our adult children enjoyed their stay and, if they preferred a more hip beach, they drove a few miles to Rehoboth. But we stayed put and enjoyed the peace of the very private beach. We brought our kayaks and paddled on Broadkill River and in the National Preserve, both a few miles away. We ate every meal in the well maintained modern kitchen, and our whole family complemented the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort of the mattresses. Fantastic in every way.

Property was clean and well kept. Very comfortable. Decorated well. Many needed things were available in the house, such as bug spray, condiments, games, books, and so on. Nice beach nearby, not crowded. A little walk to beach, but not bad. No hot tub as put on the Vrbo site.

Steps from the beach

Great location! Plenty of space! Best shower ever!! Just a short little walk from the beach. The beach chairs and boogie board supplied made it that much better. The outdoor shower was WONDERFUL when coming back from time on sand or in the water. Be prepared for the mosquitoes depending on the direction of the wind. All the other positives certainly outweigh this aspect that can be easily prepared for. Thank you for a fantastic place to make our family's first Delaware memories at.

Great beach, nice beach house

Two couples shared the house, and it worked pretty well. We were surprised by the need to bring our own linens; a bit cumbersome when flying in from across the country. The full sized bed is very soft, so really is best for one person. The house was clean and well appointed. The beach was a real treat—close by, clean, uncrowded. The owner was quick to respond to questions. If we lived closer, we would love to visit again!

Early Summer Vacation

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at this home in Broadkill Beach - just as great this year! There were some improvements/updates made since last June - looks awesome! The home is well stocked and very clean - we have fallen in love with Broadkill Beach! Saw some of the same neighbors and dogs daily on the beach - everyone is so friendly! Thank you Gary and Dori again for opening your home so we can create more great memories. Looking forward to returning again!

Lots of nice extras

House is convenient to busier beach areas, quiet location, and just a few houses away from the beach. Xfinity tv was appreciated, small items we could use, such as binoculars, was a plus, and I enjoyed the nice outdoor shower. Kitchen had all the appliances we like, ceiling fans in all the rooms was good, to.

Great beach house

Our family had a wonderful time at Gary and Dori's home. They were great hosts with a beautiful, comfortable home just a short walk to the beach. We'd never been to Broadkill Beach before and it's a really charming community - we hope to be back again.

Wonderful return trip

We had a wonderful stay again this year (our 4th time in Broadkill and 3rd time at this home)! Each year there have been upgrades which are lovely. We had a great week on the beach, great weather. Fishing wasn't as good as previous years but the kids had a great time in the water. Jellyfish were minimal this year. There were days with west winds that there were flies- but then there were days with 0 flies. The home is great for our family - feels like a home away from home. Thanks Gary and Dori! We look forward to next year!

Great Getaway

I grew up going to Broadkill, and this stay as an adult did not disappoint. Light, airy house a very short distance from the beach and walkable to the local store and crabbing/fishing areas. Also a close drive to the fun in Rehoboth. Process of reserving and checking in and out was easy and owners were friendly.
