”We had a wonderful 1 night stay here. It was clean, easy to enter, good parking on the street, quiet, and communicating with the hosts was a breeze. Big shout out to them for allowing us to check in early so I could have time to get ready for the wedding we attended! Only thing missing was rugs for wiping our boots and shoes as it had snowed the night before. No big deal though. We just took them off at the front entry and wore socks everywhere. The apt is very warm and the heater works great!...

”A perfect place to stay in Grand Marais. The Eastside Suite at the Avalong Guesthouse was just right for our 4-night stay. Close walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town, and an amazing view of Lake Superior from the front windows. I was taking a class at the North House Folk School, which was less than a block away. The property was cozy, exceptionally clean, and beautifully decorated. Even with temps below zero outside, we were warm and happy inside. This is our new place to...
