The room itself was nicely decorated . The property has very specific instructions to get into the building including using WiFi to gain access to a link the opens a pop up on your phone to release the door. This was new to me, and I was nervous standing on the street making all of the steps happen. The building is covered in graffiti which was a bit shocking to us as we arrived. Other travelers had not mentioned the building's exterior, but it is available on Google Maps street view. The room (#1) had an odor of mold upon entering, and the large bath towels could have been nicer/newer. There was also a bit of street noise (talking) until 10 or so, and then it was fairly quiet. Hopefully, a different perspective than previous travelers will give people a more accurate view. Our stay was fine, but I would not stay here again.

The friendliness and service were top at this hotel. Our room for 4 people was wonderful, stylish and it was wonderfully quiet to sleep there. The location in the heart of Rome was great. It was easy to walk in every direction (30 minutes to each attraction). The room was not completely spotless, but the overall appearance was very clean. It was a plus that we could open the window so we could ventilate the room of the humidity that the heating did not remove. The hotel had its own "water bar" where you could fill your drink bottles (or the glass bottles provided by the hotel) and if you wanted, take some ice. The extra bed on the sofa was not comfortable. We would have liked a mattress pad or blanket for the hard and slippery leather sofa, (there was just a sheet).

Hotel Adriano Rooftop is in the perfect part of town for travellers exploring Rome for the first time. The included breakfast was ample and tasty (although if you like pancakes, I suggest you spring for them at least once during your stay), the staff was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the rooftop terrance frequently. Lastly, during our extremely hot July stay, the air conditioning at the property kept us cool and comfortable when we were inside.
