Metsäpuutarhan koti

Äskettäin uusittu marraskuussa 2018, talossa on kolme huonetta, joissa jokaisessa on queen-vuode, joissa on kylpyhuone, jossa on aurinko lämmitetty (sähkö varmuuskopioitu) kuuma vesi. Myös tilava keittiö, pieni ruokasali, olohuone, kaapeli-TV ja internet, pesukone / kuivausrumpu ja huvimaja.
Remontointeja ovat uudet sängyt ja patjat, uusi kuumavesijärjestelmä, uudet ruokasali- ja olohuonekalusteet, huvimaja ulkokalusteineen ja ilmankuivain.
Sitä ympäröivät metsät, banaanilaastari, hedelmäpuut ja viheralueet alueella, joka tunnetaan rauhasta ja puhtaudesta.
sijaitsee vain kahden kilometrin (1. 3 mailia) päässä maailmankuulusta Monteverden pilvimetsäalueesta ja neljän kilometrin päässä (2. 5 mailia) Santa Elenasta. Se on kävelyetäisyydellä monista ravintoloista, kahviloista, pienestä supermarketista, Friends (Quakers) -kokouskodista ja kuuluisasta Monteverden juusto tehtaasta.

Excellent communication from host. This lovely cottage in the forest was quiet and peaceful. Very spacious and clean. Forest animals and lots of nice birds are entertaining. This is a family friendly facility. Very close to Monteverde Reserve & Curi-Cancha Reserve and other excellent places for hiking in the forest and seeing wildlife. It is adjacent to the Friends school and with in walking distance of famous Stella's bakery and cafe and the cheese factory. Everything was in good condition. Interesting use of beautiful tropical woods. A vehicle is recommended / 4x4 not necessary in the dry season. Supermarkets in Santa Elena, 10 minutes away well stocked . Wifi reliable and fast.

Pour commencer, notre hôte nous a reçu en personne avec un cadeau d'arrivée fait maison. L'hébergement était propre et il est situé dans un beau secteur à travers la nature. Une clôture barrée nous gardais en sécurité. Merci et félicitations à notre hôte Daniela!

We stayed in January 2026. Communication with Daniela, our hostess was great! She was very responsive both before and during our stay and provided recommendations for local restaurants and grocery. She met us at the property and explained what we needed to know, and gave us a fresh loaf of banana bread! 5/5 for Daniela! The property is as described, very private and surrounded by nature. We saw a few agouti during our 3 days stay, but because Monteverde is cool and usually windy, we didn’t sit outside. The kitchen is very well equipped, even had a blender, and the washer and dryer were very nice amenities to have. We all found the beds warm and comfy. There is a Whole Foods and cafe (Stella’s, highly recommend!) within walking distance which was great. Also of note is that there is a walking path on the left side of the road that takes you all the way into town. The one thing I will mention is that the furniture in the living room, while beautiful, is not at all comfortable. The cushions fall through and we ended up sitting at the table anytime we were inside. Adding a comfortable couch would be a huge plus in my opinion.

The checkin process was very informative. The house is cute. But This is house was most likely built in the 50’s with only 2 small windows in the living room that open. There is no ventilation. It smells like mold. If you are allergic to mold do not stay here. We left after 1 night and paid for another place to stay. That was 15 min away. Cheaper newer construction lots of light and windows that opened. They do have a humidifier that was not cleaned, the tube and filter were covered in mold. I got an insane migraine within 20 min of arrival, from my allergy to mold. I should have taken photos. They will tell you it’s from the moist environment. But I grew up in Point Loma. Ocean on one side bay the other. A house built in 1930’s and it does not smell this bad. It has water damage that has been band aided.

Loved the location and Daniella is a fantastic host. We stayed 2 nights so a quick trip. The house is awesome with all the woodwork. Only setbacks is the couch is not comfortable and hard to lounge as the pillows don’t even stay in place. And not having smoke detectors in any bedrooms is concerning. But the house and property is great! Loved Monteverde!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and assisted us navigating the area and services. The washer and dryer were a plus. There were plenty of bathroom and kitchen supplies. The house was in a convenient location and we felt very safe.

Beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay in Monteverde. The house was located close to the park. It is surrounded by wilderness, yet close enough to town. The woodwork inside the house is really special and makes the house unique. Many amenities are offered in the house. The kitchen is equipped and having a washer and dryer was so appreciated. The host reached out to us to make sure everything was going well each day. Luckily, we did not have any issues. If you are sensitive to musty smells just know that is something to mention.

Cozy house in the jungle

We loved this house! It was so beautiful with all the unique wood accents, had space for our kids to play, was very clean, and felt like we were nestled right in the middle of the jungle. Though it was only a 5 min drive to get to town and the main restaurants. We wished we'd stayed here longer. Daniela was very helpful with tour information and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was very qell eqipped, as were the bathroom supplies. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful immersion in the jungle, but still close in

The house was fine, although we strongly dislike the cold white light bulbs that everyone seems to be buying these days. (You can get LED bulbs in warmer, more natural feel light but you have to look for them.) There was no end table or lamp in the living room so no alternative to the cold white light from the ceiling fixtures. Nightstands and lights beside the bed were a nice feature we often don't see in other places we stay when we travel. If you don't want people wearing shoes in the house, it would be really nice to have a boot tray on the floor beside the main entry door. It would also be a nice addition to have a place for guests to hang raincoats and hats when they come inside. The check-in process has a BIG problem: the written directions to the property are very misleading. The house is no "immediately after you cross the bridge." It would be far more accurate to say, "The driveway is about 100m up the road BEYOND the bridge."

Peaceful

This place is an older home but it is clean. There is amazing woodwork throughout the house. It is secluded and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with paper towels. 😀 No paper towels or napkins at any of the places we stayed except this place. I guess I am pretty dependent on my paper towels.

Wonderful Visit

We had a wonderful visit at the Forest Garden house. We were very comfortable. Daniella was a fantastic host. We saw monkey, agotai, a toucan, coati, many butterflies and hummingbirds right out our windows. The house was close to everything we needed yet privately tucked away in the forest.

Pleasant Stay in Monteverde!

Conveniently located minutes from the town of Santa Elena, this home has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The interior has beautiful wood accents and everything you need to fix a meal or cup of coffee -- which you can enjoy outside in the gazebo! In the mornings you can see agouti in the forest/backyard (who love to eat your fruit scraps)! Daniella was quick to respond to my messages, there to greet us despite us changing the arrival time (a few times), and she delivered fans immediately upon request! We highly recommend this home for your stay in Monteverde!

Great family visit to Monteverde

Clean and simple cabin very close to the Monteverde Reserve. We enjoyed sitting in the hammocks watching the birds and critters on the property.
