”A very short one night stay which was spoiled by the lack of air-conditioning in a already very hot room. The window was open on arrival but this just let in warm air and numerous flying insects so had to be shut at night.”

”Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind. ”

The rooms could do with a bit of dressing up with paint and filler but apart from that it was good location and really quiet which is always good after a loud day in town. ”As a solo female traveller I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to leave my bag at the reception, which was then delivered to my room. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and is a stones throw away from the train station all the main attractions. I would stay again and recommend to friends and family.”

”As soon as I walked into The George I was welcomed with friendly smiley staff who helped me check in and showed me to my room. They went through dinner times as well as breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast as I was too full up from the dinner the previous evening, the pie was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was yummy! My room was of a good size, clean and tidy and en-suite shower room was lovely. I will definitely be booking to stay at The George again when I next visit.”

”Nice hotel, fairly central, good breakfast buffet, clean and attentive staff. The only challenge is parking but that is the whole city and not the fault of the hotel. There is a nearby parking structure but pricey. If you look around on Google maps you will find other a little further and outside the "center" that are less expensive.”
