Reviewer Comments: Our family has enjoyed our vacation in Compass Rose Unit 12 for the past 7 years but this year we noticed that the Unit needs a good overall cleaning plus the shower head leaked and the sink in the master bedroom was running really slow. The dryer vent was clogged solid and my husband changed the HVAC Filter. My husband called the maintenance number twice for all issues but no one ever came the entire week.

The backyard pool area is well landscaped to feel like a private backyard. The screened-in porch overlooking the ocean adds another spacious living space to enjoy watching sunrises and the peacefulness of ocean views. The back deck is great for marsh views. The extra access to the fishing pier across the street at Inlet Point is a great amenity - fishing and sunset views! Our unit was clean, attractive and comfortable.

Too many Palmetto bugs in Condo

Reviewer Comments: I have rented from Garden City Realty for many years, and I had Never experienced Bug problem like this; And no one wanted to step up and take care of the problem. I first called the main Office because I didn’t know who to contact, they said that would be the maintenance. This is Monday morning, the lady said she would notify the maintenance; but I also called the maintenance. I never heard from anyone. We had killed two palmetto bugs, Tuesday we killed another palmetto bug in the main bathroom, so again I called the maintenance department, I was told they can’t help getting palmetto bugs, I realize that but seeing that many is Not normal. Again I get the run around, the maintenance person said it’s not there job to treat the Unit” it’s the HOA, to take care of that problem, again No one contacted me. Now it’s Wednesday, morning my Husband told me he killed a palmetto bug in our bed Tuesday night, but he didn’t tell me earlier because he knew I wouldn’t have went to bed. By this time I’m really upset, I have Never had this kind of problem. I called the Main Office and told them that It’s went to far Now that the bugs are in my bed, and I need something done Now. That lady was very helpful “finally” she said she would get hold of the HOA, and she would call me to let me know when they would be out to treat Our Condo. She did call me around 11:30am, and they came that afternoon. I feel they took way too long to take care of the bug problem. I rented the same Unit for next year, to spend a Family vacation with my Grandsons; I sure hope we Don’t have a problem again. I know it’s possible to get a (one) bug in time to time But to kill four or five palmetto bugs are Not allowed. The Unit it self was fine, just Not the extra guests.

Reviewer Comments: Condo layout is better than most you have more living space looking out at the ocean than typical. Location is good and views are nice. There is family of foxes living in the bushes next door that were fun to watch. Unit could use just a bit of updating and the shower heads are really low, but no big deal. We would go again, maybe rent a 2nd floor unit just for a bit more ocean view.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was right on the beach and the condo was clean and we had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. The condo is far enough down the road so that it was not too crowded on the beach but close enough to stores to make it easy and convenient. The pool was clean and well maintained.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All went well. Unit could use a deep cleaning. Had to scrub master bathroom floor because my shoes were sticking to it. Also complex needs more than one luggage cart. My husband could not get cart as it was in use and fell by elevator trying to navigate two small suitcases. We were trying to get keys back on time.

Fantastic Fall Break

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time during our days at Compass Rose. The quiet atmosphere allowed for a very relaxing and refreshing stay. The beach was never crowded and we enjoyed watching the beach fishermen and dolphins as they casually swam by. The Murrells Inlet Marshwalk was fantastic as we visited for dinner multiple times.
