A little getaway to Myrtle

The place was accommodating and the host was very responsive when we had questions. The place was exactly what was on the site. The place however, smelled of cigarettes whenever we would leave our room and our floor was not inviting. Just seemed rather dark not a lot of light in the hallway. I do wish there was information on how to rent items. We did not know that there was one chair to use. Had to rent one for a day. It was easy to access the beach, we had a good time.

Great location,clean studio with ocean views!

This cute studio has a wonderful view of the ocean front and all the amenities you need to enjoy your beach getaway. The owners provide everything you need to go to the beach or make food or just relax. Very clean, the owners communicate well and it’s in a great location central to everything! I would highly recommend for a small group, individual or a couple.

Nice Little Place

The place was actually fine with no issues. It is small but it fit our needs. We liked being right on the ocean. The only issue we had, which the property manager can't really control, was the loud partying and fireworks on the beach until 2-3 am each night of our stay (it was the week after July 4). We heard it all and had a very hard time sleeping through it. Again, the property manager cannot control that but if you are looking for something quiet, this may not be the place as it is right in the heart of the busiest area of Myrtle Beach. In a quieter area of town, this place is a gem!

Great cozy place for two

We loved our stay at The Black Pearl. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, it was cozy and a great place to stay overall. We took a day-trip to Charleston which was only about 2 hrs away.

Very quaint- perfect for 2. Can watch sunrise from balcony, which is small but great views! No pictures of kitchen but is a nice full kitchen. Could use a new couch. We had a wonderful time!

Great place!

The place was perfect for my wife and I! Views were great on the ocean, clean, and close to the places we visit in Myrtle! Would defenitely recommend for any couple that wants a cozy spot to enjoy time wether vacation or just wanting to get away!

Great view but...

First -the positives... Very cute; clean; killer view. Next- the not negative but be awares... VERY tiny. Good for one person or couple. If you're not going to spend a lot of time in the room- perfect. If it's raining or you are spending some time in the room- VERY tiny little television. Need a step stool (which was provided) to get up on the VERY high bed. I'm sure this is so you have the view out the window in the mornings. Last - the negatives... TINY balcony...sliding glass door is VERY difficult to open and close. The owner, who is in Florida evidently, said- put some WD 40 or soaps on it. So, if you don't mind doing a little maintenance work while you're there...I did mind. I spend a lot of time on the balcony. A final note- my vacation was cut short due to the death of my mom. Contacted the owner to let her know i was checking out early. I thought she might at least offer to refund my last night due to the circumstance and the issue with the slider...but nope. I bought insurance; so ,hopefully VRBO will refund that last night. Evenso... a good place to stay for a single or couple. Now- the one out of the owner's control thing...elevators are EXTREMELY slow and one was our of order the whole time. So, plan to use the stairs or waste a lot of time waiting on the elevator.

Views that did NOT disappoint!

This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach and the Carolinas in general. Great location with AMAZING views , the corner unit have you a panoramic view of the beach. We enjoyed how the host thought of everything to enjoy the beach, the property the condo is located in is dated and needs work and updating but overall good. Located near grocery stores and plenty of things to do within a 5mi radius. Host was easy to communicate with and pleasant with each touch base making check in, use of facilities and check out easy. Would definitely recommend this and stay again.

Overall, We enjoyed the accommodations. Darker shades in the area where the bed is would be better. The side window is directly aligned with an outdoor light and it keeps it very bright inside at night. Also NO water pressure.

Great little condo!

Condo was the perfect size for me an my wife! It does have a pull out couch, that could sleep two more people, but was very comfortable with just 2. Had everything we needed for our stay, minus food and drinks. Love the fact that previous guests, and ourselves, were able to leave items for the next guests. Such as, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, creamer and condiments. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely stay here again!

Nice view but housekeeping needs work

Place was in the perfect location on the beach. Beautiful view but unit was dusty. Low touch areas had a very visible layer of dust including the glass shelf in the bathroom and around the sides and back of the toilet. The shower curtain also needed to be changed as it had evidence of mildew. Knowing the place was not as clean as I would expect a vacation rental to be made for an uncomfortable trip. Hopefully these issues are corrected for future visitors.

Great For Conservative Christians

The room was fine except for alllllll of the references to God. Almost every decoration in the room was tied to God. An entire wall (which you can’t see in the pictures) has hand written scripture on it from the Bible. I am of the opinion that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, we just shouldn’t force them on others which is what this room does.

Our stay was wonderful. The fireworks on the beach on July 4th were amazing.

We loved the area. Everything was to our liking. Plenty of room. The decor of "Godly Grafetti" was uplifting.

Anniversary get away

We did a weekend get away for our 20th Anniversary. We loved the view of the water and the sunrise was breathtaking. Would definitely stay there again in the future.
