”Lovely place and rooms were great. Some of staff didn’t know how to check us in It’s a pub, and luckily we had booked for food… the pub was very food dominated and wouldn’t have felt comfortable just drinking… food was good and place lovely though”

”Was a great place to stay”

”Great hotel close to the hall if you’re staying for an event. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Nice touch being allowed late check out as no one else was booked in the room that day. Would stay again”

”Room was dirty and smelly. Loud noise till 1am on Saturday night. When we were checking out, we were told to exit via backdoor, because staff said it was too early to open the front door. We felt humiliated.”

”This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels). We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there. Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...

”Lovely welcome from the team on arrival. The room on the top floor was great, comfy bed, good sized room, fridge with fresh milk provided. Really tasty breakfast, available until 12pm which was a nice touch. Friendly place, nice bar and outside area”
