”A large and impressive hotel with great facilities. Unfortunately, we found the bed in our deluxe room uncomfortable and creaky and the room lacked basics such as milk and cold water. The food and drinks were delicious however, and we enjoyed the pool.”

”Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend.”

”Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big. ”The host was very welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. Breakfast had lots of choices for different appetites. My room was lovely with a fan for the heat, plenty of tea, coffee, etc. and a powerful shower. All in all a great place to visit.”

”I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. The room was clean modernised and comfortable, the fan could have done with a clean to work better. We left at 5am to escape the heat so can’t...

”The gym was exceptional for a spa hotel and the breakfast was very pleasant however we did find that the hotel itself was quite dated and the rooms were in need of a bit of updating. The bathroom especially could use some modernization.”

”The car park was next to hotel room was clean with coffee and also bottles of water. Nice selection for breakfast but not much selection for evening meal .But because the information in the room wasn't updated it said the restaurant was closed and didn't find out till the last night.”

”Rummet var av relativt enkel standard, men rent och hade sköna sängar. Hörde ingen trafik, eller andra störande ljud. Den hade allt, förutom en toalettborste. Frukosten var bra. Man fick beställa den varma maten, vilket gör att den inte står i rumstemperatur. Det tog ca 10-15 minuter att få maten serverad och då var vi där under en helg med mycket folk. Medans fixade vi kaffe, rostade mackor och åt av den kontinentala buffén. Trevlig personal också, så vi kan absolut tänka oss att bo här igen...
