”We stayed as part of a large group attending a wedding nearby. The hotel was gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and well equipped as you expect. But what made our stay were the staff - they were so wonderful. Friendly, helpful, accommodating and well organised.”

”Super friendly and helpful staff more than make up for any shortcomings at this place. Personally I found the wonkiness of the building rather endearing and there was plenty of free parking. No food at the hotel but a selection of options delivered through Deliveroo and other apps and cutlery and plates provided in each room. Decor is a bit dated but there are hot showers and beds are comfortable.”

”The room was very clean and tidy! Staff are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing very filling! And the parking is very easy too access but when there are a few guests staying the car park can get very tight, overall really good and best bit its only 17 mins drive too Alton towers from there ”

”The room was very basic. It was disappointing that the bathroom facilities weren’t self-contained, and the shower is essentially right next to the bed. Another issue was the parking. It costs £5 per night if you book through a third party like Expedia, which you have to pay on arrival, whereas it’s free if you book directly through Ibis. The difference isn’t very clear and feels a bit inconsistent. The noise from other guests early in the morning also disturbed my sleep, which didn’t help the...

”Stayed here during the summer, breakfast was great, we were given a menu and a choice of continental selection. Breakfast cooked fresh so we booked again. Sadly this time we were greeted with a breakfast buffet which wasnt the same. Therefore we would not be in a rush back, hopefully the cook will ge brought back ”

”Clean room with comfortable bed. The bar and restaurant were cosy and access to walk along the side of the river is great.”

”The hotel is fabulous, the staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are clean and luxurious. The only thing that could be improved is to fit air conditioning in the rooms. At night the room became quite stuffy and it's not possible to open patio doors at night. Apart from that - amazing”

”Decent town centre hotel, clean room, peaceful night's sleep, friendly reception staff; However, breakfast wasn't that great, shown to a table and then left to fend for myself. Had to ask for coffee, wasn't offered toast or anything, fruit bowl was just juice, and the cooked breakfast was lukewarm. Not one member of staff spoke to me during the 40 mins I was in the restaurant. Never mind, there probably won't be a next time !”
