”The facilities are being added to : restaurants etc. our room, themed room: Cape Town was decorated to good standard. The best breakfast, parking and access was very good. Staff were cheerful and very helpful. It was great experience and would go again Thanks to all the staff.”

”I arrived on a Sunday and had sent a message several days before to say that I would like an evening meal. I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. On arrival I was told that the bar would be open until late so I assumed that I would be able to get a bar meal up until about 10pm. ”Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. ”

”Parking in the hotel car park was almost impossible unless you have pre booked at a cost of £8 a night in a reserved space. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation which inevitably involves some scaffolding on part of the outside and the ballroom is nearing completion. These things caused little inconvenience as we enjoyed a lovely de luxe room with a fabulous view over the harbour. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed a lovely short break and will be returning”

”We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings”

”Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle”
