”Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended.”

”The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. Access was easy using the door enrty codes provided. Wifi was good and easy to log onto. The Guest house was also vey quiet, with no disturbances. I used the breakfast room before I left, and ate granola, greek yoghurt and blueberries with a Coffee latte. These were dispensed from a vending machine, but were fresh and tasted lovely. Bowls, mugs and cuttlery were available. The staff I met were also friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend...

”Nice and modern hotel close to the centre and key locations. Only negative aspect was the really loud music playing in the lobby, which makes it quite annoying entrance everytime you return to the hotel. Luckily the sound insulation is top class and you can’t hear the music - or anything else for that matter - in the rooms. ”

”Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind. ”

”Friendly welcome from the owner and good information what places to visit in York. Silent and cosy room. On the same street there were friendly accommodations to get full good English breakfast. Short walking trips to the attractions of York. ”

”Fast check in, room ready despite us arriving before normal check in time, room very clean in a great condition, comfortable bed and very nice breakfast. All in all great value for money for a 2 night break away”

”Loved the location about a 5-10 minute walk from the Shambles. Great place. Narrow stairs though so if you're lugging luggage be advised.”

”The room was lovely, and our stay massively exceeded our expectations including an evening dip in the hot tub and then using the hotel bar for games. The staff made everything that much more special for my girlfriend (now fiancé) birthday and for our engagement during our stay too to put the extra special touches in. ”Room was pretty cold (17 C) but heating unit helped a bit. Room was a little dirty but it was ok. Parking possibility for 10 GBP/night. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. Pretty old building - brought nice vintage feel but ventilation lacking. Friendly staff!”
