Summary:

Spacious duplex only few steps away from the beach. A very short walk to the beach means no worries about parking or sand in your car!

*Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, Family Kingdom, Barefoot Landing, and Broadway at the Beach, all within 5-10 minutes, offer plenty of day and night entertainment!

*3 bedrooms downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs

*large garage used for game room, & a carport.

*Pets are NOT allowed!

* Pool is open from May 31st through September 30th

*the house is inspected prior to your arrival to make sure all is clean and working properly. please contact me immediately for any questions or concerns.

*The pool is available during the seasonal months and is professionally cleaned twice a week (usually Tuesday and Friday weather permitted)

The only thing that I didn't like about my stay was that there were gnats really bad gnats for my whole stay that was very ignoring to me and my family and also there was the entrance to one of the bedrooms that did not like because it was all the way in the back of the house and you had to walk through another room to get to it or go through the pool room or outside of the property to get to the main part of the house but other than that everything was okay if you ask me if I would stay there again no I will not

Nice experience there were minor things such as the tv setup and the people in the next unit they were young and very loud. They did calm down. Old people,families quite and young people’s zeal for life don’t mix Would look for a more family oriented place when bring the family

Spacious and very close to the beach, but resolved issues

Very nice house, spacious; but, there were issues reported to owner that were never addressed, or result was way too late to be useful.This home does have a pool that was promised to be open/ready for use the day after we arrived (5/31 to open). When we left the pool was still dirty and had not been serviced, only some water added to the water level.Trash cans were all overflowing upon arrival, finally emptied late morning of the day we left (6/2). Dusty/dirty at edges of wall, especially easily seen behind beds/furniture. It's understood that being at the beach that sandy and/or salty spray on outside surfaces -the lower windows were green and could not look out most of them. Our 1st night it rained very hard, we notified owner that the farherest bedroom had water leaking (under the outside access doors) in/soaking shoes/suitcases. There is a pool table, but the felt is super worn out and torn (seems to have been an old pool hall table with the payment guts taken out).Now, our group had 14 vacationers, and it was a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. We did have a good time in the house outside of the issues listed above. The owner did answer most all messages, even though we didn't get resolution completely. The posting of pictures was not available because the site wouldn't open for me to do so. Believe me, I did take pictures of our stated issues, and pictures of after as we left the house cleared and straightened up.

Would NOT recommend!

When first arriving, we walked through the door and instantly smelt cigarette smoke. That smell was coming from the garage area where the pool table is located. That room is connected to ALL the rooms downstairs so if you are sensitive to that smell I don't recommend. We also couldn't use that room at all. My daughter found a nail sticking up out the stairs when she stepped on it. The pool is shared because it's a duplex which we missed that in the description when booking it. We contacted the listing agent to let them know the pool was cloudy and dirty, he basically said it was because of the rain! I'm from south GA and negative. We also had issues with the AC for over 24 hours after arriving as well as the other renters on the other side of the duplex partied 24/7 with loud music and talking/yelling. Also had the smell of smoking other things from next door. We did have some guys come out the day after arriving that helped fix some of the issues but I had to take time away from my family on vacation to be there to show them all the issues. I was never even offered any type of compensation from all the problems we incurred only that if I would like to cancel, they could give me half my money back! Never would have even contacted them had the property been up to par like it should be when your paying for it. The only good part would be your close enough to walk to the beach other than that I do not recommend and would never stay here again.
