âWe had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious.
Would definitely recommend and come back if we would go to Nungwi again.

We was supposed to stay at Kendwa, but because of a bank fraud (!) we left the original plan, and booked through hotels.com at this place. We are very glad how everything turned out. This location at Nungwi is good. At Kendwa we would be stuck at our resort. Here we had more flexibility on what to do all the time.

âFriendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.

âwhen we were checking in ismail told us that there was something wrong with the air conditioning in our room. he therefore took us to another hotel, which was a bit more expensive and said that we could stay there for the same price if we wanted. we thought that air conditioning is good to have in Zanzibar, so we accepted the offer. therefore unfortunately I can't say much about nungwi beach front hotel. but I was in contact with ismael during the whole stay and he arranged several trips for us....

âWe honeymoonâed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.

"Tosiaan hotelli on remontin tarpeessa. Sateella huoneen katto vuosi pahasti, kylpyhuoneessa hometta (kuten monessa muussakin alueen hotellissa). Yksi pyyhe ja olisi ollut kiva myös kÀyttÀÀ erillistÀ kasvopyyhettÀ. Huoneessa tavaroille vain yksi kaappi & hylly. SÀngyn patjassa isokuoppa ja vaatisi vaihtoa, muutenkin sÀnky oli erittÀin lyhyt ja emme pystyneet nukkumaan suorassa. Ilmastointi ja kattotuuletin toimi hyvin, erittÀin hiljaiset. Terassin tuolilla ei voinnut istua, erittÀin hutera ja muutenkin epÀvakaa. Altaalla olevat aurinkotuolit ja aurinkovarjot vaatisivat myös uusimista. Uima-allas oli iso ja sitÀ putsailtiin jatkuvasti. Hotellista pÀÀsee mukavasti suoraan rannalle, mutta rannalla ei saanut olla rauhassa. Agressiiviset retkimyyjÀt samantien kimpussa ja vÀlillÀ tulivat jopa veteen asti myymÀÀn retkiÀ.
