”This was our first visit to the West Highlands and we were not disappointed. A beautifully maintained resort within a spectacular setting. We had planned to visit the islands during the week but found so much to do locally we decided to save the islands for a future visit. ”We had a wonderful stay at Melfort. A few days on our own, then joined by our daughters and baby grand daughter, we were cosy, warm and relaxed. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! The staff are friendly and super helpful, even giving the wee one a present from Santa before she left! This was our third visit, and it definately won't be our last.”

”We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.”

”We loved every minute of our weekend at Melfort. ..so our dog Bailey.the location is stunning and peaceful, the cottage we were staying was so clean and provides everything you need and it is so cosy and warm.i cant fault a thing.the pool was great,the restaurant is a plus with a good menu and good prices with super friendly staff.we loved ,loved the place..we cant wait to be back.thank you”

”This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. I will definitely be back .”

”We visited for Mums birthday in March there were 4 of us plus one dog. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable and not too far from the main buildings. I visited the pool two mornings and really enjoyed the facilities. It is a great base for exploring the West of Scotland with some beautiful scenery . We had a takeaway from the restaurant and it was delicious and well worth a try.”

”Although I filled in a questionnaire and handed it in at Melfort Village reception when I left I have completed this one as well because I really enjoyed my week there.The weather was lovely and the views to die for. My friends and I had a day on Luing with lunch at the Atlantic Islands Centre which was excellent. Disappointing that the Shower of Herring was closed from Monday.My only complaint was that when I arrived on Saturday Sept.14th in torrential rain and gales there was no heating on...
