”We loved the Inn at Sunset Cliffs! The location is right on the ocean, with local businesses nearby. The inner courtyard of the Inn was gorgeous with all of the flowers and plants. Our room was a great size, very clean, and even had a microwave and mid-size refrigerator. The staff were all so friendly and helpful! When we return to San Diego, we will definitely stay there again!”

”Great location to dog beach. Convenient to freeway and ocean beach area. However, if you want a well kept and clean hotel this isn’t the place. There is no daily cleaning unless you ask. Bath towels are crusty and old. The air conditioner is a wall mount unit and very loud. We had a cockroach in the room and a trail of ants. The price is not that low considering you pay for parking nightly and for each pet in the room. Those added up make it just as expensive as Other dog friendly hotels. ...

”Stayed at a handful of hostels and this one's in a class of its own. Bunk beds are comfortable and private, with plenty of lockable storage underneath. The space is clean, warm, and genuinely well put together. Staff are friendly and they set the tone for the place. Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. Easy in and out, free parking just a block away. And the location speaks for itself.”

”The rooms are super clean they come in every morning to do the beds and clean up. The staff is absolutely exceptional. The location is by far a 2 minute drive from mission beach. The pools are clean and well taken care of. We will always stay here. We have never been disappointed.”

”I feel the property was definitely more run down than the photos on line. But the marina location was nice for restaurants, and coffee shops. Location very close from airport also.”

”Wife and I both got food poisoning from the breakfast. One morning at 8 am someone from staff just barged in to the room even though DND sign was on door. Freaked us out, person ran from the room quick when he realized it was occupied. Hot water was out for two days. ”

”The AC was not functioning and no one was notified after booking to give people an opportunity to rebook somewhere else. My room was then switched to a room with a portable AC unit that was duck taped to the window and kept falling off. The window had to be opened the entire time which let in a bunch of noise. However it was clean and the balcony and courtyard was well maintained. The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best either but it was quick for a small kitchen.”

”This is a place to stay if you need to sleep, shower and use the restroom, one of the staff was incredibly rude… if I could have gotten a refund I would have just because of her. Other than that the room floors are nasty you can tell they haven’t been cleaned in a while, the shower water was warm and just warm not anything above that. The outside of the property was also poorly maintained (they have trash everywhere), and people clearly live in the hotel. Also if you’re wanting something close...

”First off Don’t pay to get a water view. Not worth the money. The view is very obstructed. Our room was clean. Breakfast-horrible experience. The worst we have ever had. Went to grab breakfast during the allotted time period. The floor was sticky. There was nothing to eat. Stood in line for waffles only for the waffles to be all gone. Asked if there was more, but told there was not. They were saving the rest for tomorrow. There was no fruit or muffins. The eggs were gone. They brought more and...
