”Lovley clean room and bathroom. 2nd floor room with quite steep stairs, no lift so beware if you are not very agile! Room 6 is basically in the roof, OK in winter but would be very warm in summer and noisy with gulls around as overlooking the other rooftops. Toilet had a macerator which was noisy and didn't quite flush properly once or twice - wouldn't like that again! Loose dog in the hallway when I came back from walk- barking and growling so rang bell for owner to come out. It was owner's...

”Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available”

”The Villa Marina is run by two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. Vince and Erwan were amazing hosts who would do anything to ensure you had a wonderful stay. The hotel is super clean, the breakfasts ensured lunch may not be required! A location not far from the sea or town centre and an overall lovely atmosphere. Their knowledge of the local area was well received by everyone which helped guests make the most of their time in Torquay. I can’t thank them enough for making my stay...

”We had lovely time staying at the Cleveland Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful.”

”Great stay. Friendly and helpful hosts. Great variety for breakfast. Few minutes from both Torre and Torquay rail stations”

”Loistava palvelu ja erinomainen aamiainen. Siisti ja viihtyisä huone.”

”I had such a lovely stay here. It may be a modest B&B, but it was absolutely excellent, and as a solo female traveller I felt completely safe, comfortable and genuinely looked after. My single room was spotless and had everything I needed, including a lovely en-suite and a big window. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and even the little details were thought of — when I arrived, the owner brought me a bottle of cold water, which was such a lovely welcome. Breakfast was fresh and...

”Excellent Guest House! Good location, very friendly hosts, nice rooms, and lovely breakfast. Highly recommendable.”

”Excellent location, spacious room, great breakfast, beautiful balcony with amazing views, and more importantly very nice and helpful staff 🙏👏”

”Julie and Gary were absolutely lovely and super helpful. They helped heat up milk for our little one and were friendly the hole time. I would say I think personally found the mattresses slightly uncomfortable, may be a preference. The only true negative, so the reason it was not 5 stars for us was the shower was weak, so couldn't just stand underneath it, had to hold it over the body part to clean. Aside that, amazing place, lovely people! Thank you both.”

”We received such a lovely warm welcome from Vanessa and Cameron on arrival at the Millbrook, which immediately made us feel at home. Hotel was absolutely spotless, and breakfast was piping hot and delicious, in fact it was the best breakfast we have had. Vanessa and Cameron worked so hard to make everyone’s stay perfect. They took the time to get to know each guest individually. We loved the well-stocked tea tray in our room and the mini fridge, which was restocked daily with fresh milk and...

”Lovely & very accommodating hosts & very good breakfasts. Room was spotless with king size bed, TV, sea views, plenty of storage space, compact ensuite, etc. The on site parking requires some care from drivers, especially if you have a large car. Town centre, pubs, railway station & beach all a short walk down the hill.”

”Lovely little gem. Breakfast was a nice touch. Pub on site serves food and drink. Owners nice. BUT you should have a car if you are staying here. Getting a taxi can be difficult as it is away from main town. Definitely recommend staying here.”

”•no lift to rooms •breakfast wasn’t very nice •bad evening meal selection and you’re tied into a set 3 course meal •no entertainment •showers that scream at you •steps to use the bathroom in rooms •no working wifi for tv and signal poor in general •fire alarms going off at early hours in the morning for a long amount of time for no reason. *rubbish left in our room when arrived. •no real double bed, two singles pushed together. •towels provided are tiny. •duty manager let himself into our room...
