”Beautiful sunsets. Outdoor areas great for outdoor games (we brought cornhole), eating Al fresco, and campfires. Lake was nice, had some activity but not overly loud. Boat launch is not too far and dock at cabin was very nice. Took daily 2 mile walks on the road, neighborhood seemed friendly - bring your books to exchange at the Little Free Libraries. Cabin was clean and cozy, had everything we needed to cook our meals and space for game nights. ”

”Don't even think about booking another place on the lake! Completely secluded from all the other cabins on the whole South side. Having your own boat launch and power for charging trolling motor right on the dock was fantastic. No need to trailer the boat or pull it out to plug in every night. ”Had a wonderful cozy and relaxing time at The Red Barn. The upstairs was perfect for our two daughters to have to themselves. We enjoyed renting a pontoon while we were there and I highly recommend that from the owner as well!! It’s exactly as described and they were super easy to work with. It was a unique place and that added a lot of charm to the stay overall. I’d stay in a fun and different place like this a thousand times before a hotel or condo that’s always the same cookie cutter...

”We had a wonderful stay! We reserved both cabins, and each was immaculate and so well stocked with amenities. The backyard was level and easy to navigate, which was especially helpful for my aging dad, and our teenage grandson had plenty to keep him entertained with all the fun activities provided. ”We were very pleased with the cabin, as it delivered everything we expected from the listing. The check-in process went without a hitch. I think the service that stood out the most was the responsiveness of the host. He was clear at communicating and was available from booking until checkout. He even helped us out with some unforseen circumstances that impacted our weekend plans. We look forward to returning next year and will definitely book at this resort.”

”We enjoyed 4 nights in this quaint little cabin. It was perfect for our family of 5. The cabin was well stocked with everything you would need, especially the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were easy to contact if needed. We loved having the boat to use for a couple days. It fit our family of 5 just right. We enjoyed fishing, tubing and skiing. The screened in porch was used a lot for meals or playing games to protect us from the MN bugs. We would highly recommend this...

”Our trip to Spirit Lake was absolutely wonderful! Our family of five (with three teenage boys) felt right at home. ”The cabin was on a beautiful private lake, my husband and our friends were some of the only people on the lake. Great for swimming, floating and fishing. The cabin itself was cozy but the perfect size for our group of four. There is no cleaning provided for the cabin but a detailed checklist of the tasks requested and size of the cabin was more than manageable for us all. ”

”This was a very convenient lay out for our family's stay. The kids caught fish (mostly bass) off the dock, were able to swim, and they house was neat and orderly. We enjoyed our time in the front porch room, just watching the lake. Although we stayed in late July, the fans seemed efficient enough for us and not having A.C. wasn't an issue at all. Next time we hope to bring a boat to explore the restaurants on the lake! ”
