”If you want to keep an eye on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or be close to the beginning of the Llanberis path up Mt. Snowdon, this is the place to be. And, if its raining and cold, you'll be content to eat at the Hotel's pub. There's a short walk through the woods to Dolbadarn Castle which is, yes, a castle in Wales, and very picturesque. Breakfast is adequate- an arrival of multiple coaches may have you relocated to a smaller dining room which happened to us, but then we were not on anyone...

”Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. ”Generally the property was nice, however having stayed at similar properties over the years, I think there were a few things which could be improved. These are personal preferences but I think its the smaller touches which make all the difference. For example, it would have been nice if guests were given bath towels rather than the smaller sized towels, with spares available at the property. As the property had a hot tub, robes would have been nice. The tea and coffee selection was very basic....
