”Lovely stay fantastic position”

”Good family room. Excellent shower as this room has been updated. Perhaps it is time to update decor in the hotel rooms as it felt like we were stepping back into the 1980s. ”We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than...

”This hotel was a gem of a find! Wouldn't hesitate to go back. I had to call a few days before check in with some accessibility issues and the lady who answered the phone was wonderful, very kind and understanding!”

”The room had two relatively minor issues: 1. The toilet flush was terrible. Difficult to flush. Impossible with long flush, hit and miss with short flush. 2. The toilet roll holder was in need of securing. Toilet rolls inevitably fell to the floor when used. As I said these issues were relatively minor but were an ongoing irritant.”

”The best thing was the huge bay window with a stunning sea view. Fantastic service from the very helpful and warm staff, excellent breakfast and, in the evening the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious.”

”Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Staff were ok, breakfast waa good. It's an old building which (if you wanted to be picky) could perhaps do with the odd update, especially air con and the lack of it. Was a really hot couple of days we were there and if the summers are going to continue to get hotter they will need it. They only supplied bath towels, hand towels would also have been helpful aswell, but overall very acceptable. They advertise they have parking but you can forget that, if you...

”Thank you to Heather, she was kind and helpful and responded to requests quickly We were not disturbed by the night club since it was out of season and a Monday night. Room was good value for money. It could probably benefit from a lick of paint and the mattress was a little uncomfortable, but okay for 1 night.”
