”Nice clean room, staff pleasant. Very good price and perfect location for us. Only downside was the noise insulation could be better. Couldn’t hear anything from the bar but the room above were constantly moving for hours and next doors snoring could clearly be heard. However would stay again ”

”The room was clean but the bed was hard and you needed binoculars to see the TV. We stayed in Kent hall and it seemed like an old office block that has been turned into bedrooms. Breakfast wasn't that great sausages and bacon were overcooked and dry. The parking was not that great either.”

”An excellent stopover on a long journey north! It indeed has the air of a conference centre, and obviously was very quiet as there was no conference on, and that suited us. Our single bedrooms were small, but adequately equipped with a comfortable chair, and tea-making facilities, and nice en-suite. The rooms were very quiet, and had very comfortable beds. ”Overall room was clean if a little tired, needing refurbishment. This was reflected in the fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel. I had previously stayed at the hotel approx 12 months (Ramada) before and it was 'tired' then, so in need of capital expenditure.”

”Mukava, siisti hotelli. Vanhan-ajan tunnelmaa. Alapesusuihku puuttui ja valaistus heikko huoneessa. Jonkinlainen kirkasvalolamppu esim. meikkaamiseen olisi tarpeellinen. Useimmissa hotelleissa, tässäkin oli pesunesteet varsin voimakashajuisia. Uskoisin, että hajusteettomat tuotteet olisivat parempia, kaikille sopivia. Olimme varanneet ja maksaneet huoneen Hotels.comille kokonaisuudessaan, mutta lähtiessämme meitä veloitettiin aamukiireessä vielä "erehdyksessä" lisää. Rahat pahoitteluineen...

”Beautiful room nice and warm and products provided. Arrived just before they stopped serving food but the staff were very helpful and delicious meals were served up. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was really nice and freshly cooked and hwalthy ootions too”

”Impressive in arrival this countryside hotel and conference centre at first glance appeals. There is also ample parking. Many hotels allow early check in if one arrives ahead of check in time. Moat House staff were less accommodating and seemed to have a hard and fast rule. However, when we sat in the lobby with our suitcases and backpacks half an hour ahead of check in time, they quickly and pleasantly attended to us. The rooms are attractive but for cobwebs on the ceiling in both bedroom...

”Wr use the hotel often when visiting our granddaughter, so don't use any of the facilities. The staff have always been charming and extremely helpful if there has been a problem.”

”No elevator for disabled people”

”Upon arrival we were met with loud music what seemed like a soul weekender. There was forewarning regarding this and our room was not ready. We had a child of 8 with us so it was a bit unfair on him. The bathroom had no fascia on the shower temp control and there was mould on the ceiling. The tissue box had no tissues in during our two night stay. The mini fridge was not stocked upon arrival . When I asked if I could see the room before I was paid I was told they needed a managers consent which...

”Loved the mood of the place, middle of nowhere in the midst of some beautiful countryside. Gardens were top notch but weather sadly precluded their use. Staff were helpful and room spotless. Only slight downer is that the shower was scalding. Could not get cold water into the shower. Only there for 1 night so not a big deal. Parking easy and EV charger useful. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. Much to like about the Manor. 👍Recommended.”
